Security seal

Security sealer. For automatic application of preperforated polyvinyl chloride tubing. The security seal is fully and evenly shrunk around the cap by the heat tunnel. The shrink seal covers the shoulder of the cap to the neck flange of the container. 

Antimicrobial preservatives such as phenylmercuric acetate are known to partition into rubbers during storage, thus reducing the formulation concentration below effective antimicrobial levels [9], A complication of modern packaging is the need for the application of security seals to protect against deliberate adulteration and maintain consumer confidence. 

Suppose that you fill an insulated Thermos to 95% of the volume with ice and water at equilibrium and securely seal the opening. 

Securely seal each tube with parafilm to prevent any evaporation of the solvent. 

Sealed carton—all flaps of a carton are securely sealed and the carton must be visibly damaged when opened to remove the product. 

For vapours present in the landfill emissions in the range of 0.1 to 400 mg/m3, the preferred method is adsorption on to Texax-GC. Usually 25 ml sample is sufficient and this is adsorbed on the first part of the adsorption material. To ensure that no material is lost in transit to the laboratory, the Tenax-GC should be securely sealed with swagelok caps. The tubes should be cooled before removing the caps prior to GC analysis after heat... 

The Bourdon gauge consists of a flattened, thin-walled metal tube bent into the form of an arc or C shape as illustrated in Figures 4.7 and 4.8 [3]. One end of the tube is fixed and securely sealed and bonded to a threaded connection called a socket. The other end is tightly sealed and free to move. At atmospheric pressure (zero gauge pressure) the tube is undeflected and for this condition the gauge pointer is calibrated to read zero pressure [4]. The type and mass of the package will, in the main, dictate the type of security seal to be used, but designers should ensure that the method chosen is such that it will not be impaired during normal handling of the package in transport. 

Ensure that all shipping documentation (e.g., manifest, security seal sheet, bills of lading, shipping orders, or freight bills, etc.) required to move with shipments is available for inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies shipment when delivered. 

Ask specifically how your home and belongings will be protected from being contaminated during the work. Make sure the contractor intends to take the types of precautions described later in this chapter to isolate work areas and securely seal your belongings. (See that belongings are in fact protected, once work begins.)... 

This reactor utilizes a monopolar connection to the electrodes which may be, for example, a flat plate, lantern blade electrodes or an expanded mesh, with provision for additional turbulence promoters if required. This design does not Utilize cell frames as such rather, electrode spacing is achieved via a shaped gasket which is moulded to provide secure sealing. The electrolyte flow ts via internal manifolding, each electrode incorporating an inlet and outlet port to distribute flow over its surface (Fig, 2.31(a)).

A car seal—also referred to as a security seal—Phelps prevent someone from inadvertently moving a tagged valve or switch (they are so called because they were first used to seal railcars after they were loaded). However, because the car seal has very little physical strength, it is very easy to break if someone decides that it is in the way. The traditional form of car seal has been a wire loop with a tag attached to it— rather like a stronger version of a luggage tag. Modem car seals often use plastic ties. 

Suppliers of air-sensitive reagents usually dispatch them securely sealed under nitrogen. They also supply equipment and literature for handling not only air-sensitive chemicals but also hazardous chemicals. All these chemicals should be handled by experienced technicians or third year undergraduates, following the instructions sent with the equipment. 

The component IL test indicates the same relative difference between the EPDM and TPV sections [Figure 9]. A fixture mimicking the seal environment was used in the Kolano and Saha Engineers, Inc. test chamber [Figure 3] to compare the insertion loss (IL) characteristics of the seals on a component level. Seal lengths of 400 mm were used with the ends securely sealed with clay. The effects of holes were included consistently between specimens. Outputs were measured from 25 to 10,000 Hz and presented in 1/3 octaves.
