The formation of the Ordnance Department resulted from four events following cessation of hostilities in 1784. Normal conditions mean that only minor amounts of overtime are involved, that an adequate number of competent tradesmen can be found, and that scheduled delivery times for equipment and supplies will be met. No provisions are made for work stoppages or slowdowns due to labor unrest. 

We also received during the first day of the incident our Homeland Security PODS (truck boxes without wheels filled with badly needed incident supplies and equipment that stay with response teams for days at a time).
