Right now I m especially reactive to cleaners and dish soaps. I had a dish soap that I tolerated for a few months, and now I ve lost that. I m still reactive to normal water, so I can t eat in restaurants because the food is cooked in water—and most restaurants have gas stoves, and I m not very tolerant of gas. The advanced applications for nitrocellulose plastisol propellants require that they be integrally bonded to the motor case. Successful case bonding for the multiyear storage life of a rocket calls for special adhesives and liners which are completely compatible with these highly plasticized propellants. Best results have been obtained with a combination of an impervious rubber liner and a crosslinked adhesive system with a limited affinity for the plasticizers used in the propellants. Examples of effective liners are silica-filled butyl rubber and chlorinated synthetic rubber. A complete methodology for the manipulation and reaction of air-sensitive solutions has evolved around cappable glass pressure bottles. The thermomechanical behavior can also be understood in terms of 3-D stress-strain-temperature curves. During step 1, it can be visualized from Figure 3.30 that the specimen that was confined by the steel hner experienced the maximum stress, followed by the nylon liner and mbber hner.
