In all cases, by virtue of Eqs. (2), it is clear that file molecular moments of inertia of a particular set of atomic isotopes is entirely determined by the atomic coordinates, i.e., the structure. It is also obvious that the moments are isotopomer-dependent, since they depend upon atomic mass.

The introductory chapter is brief but provides an ample introduction to mass spectrometry and leaves one comfortable as he/she moves on to the historical and instrumentation chapters that follow. Why do we need extensive and complicated data validation packages instead of compact standard laboratory reports Because data validation is necessary to establish a certain level of confidence in the quality of obtained data. Data validation enables the data user to determine whether acceptance criteria for the PARCC parameters have been met and to make the quality of the data known. Standard laboratory reports support only cursory review of basic laboratory QC checks. Data that have not been reviewed or validated cannot be considered data of known quality.

This chapter will provide an overview of anemia. This first section will present definitions and classification systems. A review of basic aspects of erythropoiesis, followed by laboratory evaluation of the anemia patient will then be discussed. The general similarities in the clinical presentation of the anemic patient will be presented in the text. 

Considering such materials prompts a review of basic strategies for nonhydrostatic work, and the second purpose is to complete that review. A fundamental question is granting that direction-dependent potentials can be defined and used, does any advantage derive from the practice We find that over a wide range of situations the practice is merely an option, and yields no results that cannot be gained by other means. But there is a class of situations, probably with analogs in the real world, that seems to require that practice. At least, these situations make one hesitate to deny axio-matically that a chemical potential can be direction-dependent. 

The scope of this chapter will be on these recent developments of the last three years, 1971 to 1973. We restrict ourselves to the interaction of neutral partners, with no restriction to the energy or state of the species. The article starts with a brief review of basic scattering laws and experimental techniques used in the experiments (Section II). Then the theory of elastic scattering is reviewed, the different cross section features are summarized and their sensitivity to the potential is discussed. Perturbations of these results caused from anisotropic potentials, inelasticities or potential crossings are described (Section 111). The next Section IV contains a survey of methods of how to determine the potential from the data. The emphasis will be on the inversion procedures. Finally, the results are summarized in Section V where, besides the atom-atom interactions in the ground states, new results for metastable species and molecules are included.
