Reconstitution containers

When reconstituted, the product contains the following stabilizers in maximal amounts 38 mg/mL mannitol, 10 mg/mL trehalose, 108 mEq/L sodium, 12 mM histidine, 12 mM Tris, 1.9 mM calcium, 0.17 mg/mL polysorbate-80, and 0.10 mg/mL glutathione. In another formulation, each vial contains nominally 250, 500, or 1000 lU per vial and upon reconstitution contains sodium chloride, sucrose, l-histidine, calcium chloride, and polysorbate 80. [Pg.337]

The sweeping test, following X, Y and Z axes, on the aluminum plate containing four standard defects and the processing software comparing between the impedance variation of the sane reference and the sample to be controlled allow the reconstitution of an image of the piece. [Pg.292]

Clinical Use. Vancomycin and teicoplanin as fomiulated dmgs are lyophilized powders to be reconstituted with sterile water for injection. Vancomycin hydrochloride [1404-93-9] is presented in vials of 500 mg that give 100—200 mL solution of pH 2.5—4.2. It is administered by slow (60 min) infusion at a dose of 500 mg every 6 h or 1 g every 12 h/d. The teicoplanin contains the five factors (87%) plus 13% of the pseudoaglycone T-A3-1. It is presented in vials containing 200 mg of lyophili ed power that after dissolution with 3 mL of solvent gives a solution at pH 7.5. The dose regimen is 200—800 mg/d by iv bolus adrninistration. [Pg.538]

Kits. Kits for the preparation of radiopharmaceuticals are a convenient solution to synthesis of products containing short-Hved radionucHdes (eg, In, I, Tc) bound to a nonradio active moiety. The labeling step is performed either at a commercial radiopharmacy, or within the institutional nuclear medicine laboratory. The kits are usually stored as a frozen solution or lyophilized product. The material of interest is then metered out into kit dosages. The kit vials are thawed or reconstituted and mixed with the appropriate radionucHde. [Pg.483]

Technetium-9 9m sestamibi is used in myocardial perfusion imaging for the evaluation of ischemic heart disease. It is prepared from a lyophilized kit containing tetrakis(2-methoxy isobutyl isonittile) copper(I) tetrafluoroborate stored under nitrogen. Upon reconstitution with up to 5.6 GBq (150 mCi) of 99mTc pertechnetate, the product is formed by boiling for 10 minutes. [Pg.483]

Technetium-99m mebrofenin is an iminodiacetic acid derivative used as a hepatobiliary agent. The kit is suppHed as a single vial containing lyopbilized mebrofenin. The reconstituted kit has 18-hour usage, owing to the preservative, propylparaben. [Pg.484]

An hplc assay was developed suitable for the analysis of enantiomers of ketoprofen (KT), a 2-arylpropionic acid nonsteroidal antiinflammatory dmg (NSAID), in plasma and urine (59). Following the addition of racemic fenprofen as internal standard (IS), plasma containing the KT enantiomers and IS was extracted by Hquid-Hquid extraction at an acidic pH. After evaporation of the organic layer, the dmg and IS were reconstituted in the mobile phase and injected onto the hplc column. The enantiomers were separated at ambient temperature on a commercially available 250 x 4.6 mm amylose carbamate-packed chiral column (chiral AD) with hexane—isopropyl alcohol—trifluoroacetic acid (80 19.9 0.1) as the mobile phase pumped at 1.0 mL/min. The enantiomers of KT were quantified by uv detection with the wavelength set at 254 nm. The assay allows direct quantitation of KT enantiomers in clinical studies in human plasma and urine after adrninistration of therapeutic doses. [Pg.245]

Methicillin sodium To reconstitute 1 g vial add 1.5 mL of sterile water for injection or sodium chloride injection. Each reconstituted mL contains approximately 500 mg of methicillin. [Pg.42]

Tenecteplase (TNKase) is the first thrombolytic drug that can be administered during a period of 5 seconds in a single dose The drug is administered intravenously only and offers the fastest administration of a thrombolytic in the treatment of an acute MI. Specific instructions for reconstitution come with the drug. The drug is reconstituted immediately before use because it contains no antibacterial preservatives. [Pg.430]

Promoting an Optimal Response to Therapy If a vaccine is not in liquid form and must be reconstituted, the nurse must read the directions enclosed with the vaccine. It is important to follow the enclosed directions carefully. Fhckage inserts also contain information regarding dosage, adverse reactions, method of administration, administration sites (when appropriate), and, when needed, recommended booster schedules. [Pg.580]

Microtubules can be reconstituted in vitro at 37 °C from a solution that contains a physiological mixture of brain tubulin, MAPs, small amounts of guanosine 5 -triphosphate (GTP), magnesium ions, and the calcium-chelating agent EGTA [ethylene glycol-bis(2-aminoethyl ether) N, N -tetraacetic acid]. Tubulin assembly is inhibited by low temperature and by the presence of calcium ions. [Pg.5]

Different metals are readily incorporated into rubredoxin-type centers after reconstitution of apoprotein with appropriate metal salts (5). Rd and Dx derivatives containing Ni and Co have been analyzed by UV-vis, NMR, EPR, electrochemistry, and MCD (13, 19-22). Fe replacement has been used for Mossbauer studies and an indium de-... [Pg.365]

Moreover, an electron transfer chain could be reconstituted in vitro that is able to oxidize aldehydes to carboxylic acids with concomitant reduction of protons and net production of dihydrogen (213, 243). The first enzyme in this chain is an aldehyde oxidoreductase (AOR), a homodimer (100 kDa) containing one Mo cofactor (MOD) and two [2Fe—2S] centers per subunit (199). The enzyme catalytic cycle can be regenerated by transferring electrons to flavodoxin, an FMN-con-taining protein of 16 kDa (and afterwards to a multiheme cytochrome and then to hydrogenase) ... [Pg.409]
