2-Aminoethyl ether

Microtubules can be reconstituted in vitro at 37 °C from a solution that contains a physiological mixture of brain tubulin, MAPs, small amounts of guanosine 5 -triphosphate (GTP), magnesium ions, and the calcium-chelating agent EGTA [ethylene glycol-bis(2-aminoethyl ether) N, N -tetraacetic acid]. Tubulin assembly is inhibited by low temperature and by the presence of calcium ions.

Transformations on the keto group of benzo[c]thieno[3,2-/][l,2]thiazepin-4(9H)-one 313 and isomeric benzo[c]thieno[3,4-/][l,2]thiazepin-10(5H)-one (not depicted in the Scheme) include reduction with sodium borohydride to afford alcohol 314 and formation of oximes (Scheme 67, Section 3.3.1.2 (1997JHC1191, 1998PHA130)). The later can be further O-alkylated to 2-aminoethyl 315 (2003FES1, 1996AP352). Similarly, substituted 2-aminoethyl ethers 316 were synthesized using two alternative routes (2000JHC389).

The novel dipyridines (3 and 4) were prepared from commercially available pentane-1,5-diamine and bis-2-(aminoethyl)ether, and following the same S3mthetic protocol previously reported [11].

Remarks EGTA= ethylene glycol bis(2-aminoethyl ether)-N,N,N, N -tetraacetic acid assignments for AH2 resonances are tentative assignments of both pairs of AH2 /2" resonances probably should be reversed (compare [86P1] for cs data on the same sequence). 

The given formula is probably not the only appropriate one to represent its true structure. There certainly exist other microforms, the existence of which is in connection with the occurrence of several protonation sites. Of course, all the microforms are in equilibria. This complexone often gives complexes more stable than those formed with EDTA, but it reacts more slowly than the latter ethyleneglycolbis(2-aminoethyl ether)N, N, N, N -tetraa-cetic acid (ECTA) and triethylenetetramine-N, N, N, N", N ", N" -hexa-acetic acid (TTHA) ... 

Purification and identification of VAEE. Commercially available monomer vinyl-2-aminoethyl ether (VAEE) containing 99,5% of basic product were dried during 7-8 days with the help of the annealed potash and distilled over calcium hydride three times under the argon atmosphere (15).
