Ratings assessment

INTENT Human error rate assessment for INTENTion-based errors I Gertman ct al., 1992... [Pg.173]

Patients with suspected AD should have a history and physical examination with appropriate laboratory and other diagnostic tests, neurologic and psychiatric examinations, standardized rating assessments, functional evaluation, and a caregiver interview. [Pg.741]

Variation of the composition of the C2H6-RC1 mixture at constant [isobutene] (3 mole/ 1) and [ A1C13] made the DP and the reaction rate (assessed semi-quantitatively) go through a very sharp maximum at about 20 wt.% of ethane, both with MeCl and EtCl. It was also shown that with crude isobutene this peak was much broader and lower than with the purified monomer, and results were much less reproducible. These findings resemble very closely some of those obtained by Kennedy and Thomas. [Pg.74]

The ALIS quench method for dissociation rate measurement uses little protein and requires no biochemical assay for its implementation, yet the method readily yields quantitative values for the dissociation rates of the protein-ligand complexes. The technique can be used with pools of ligands to provide a quantitative rank ordering of the dissociation rates of all the components of the mixture. Since it is not necessary to know the exact concentrations of the ligands under study, the dissociation rate assessment can be performed using impure compounds, such as unpurified compound mixtures derived from combinatorial chemistry synthesis. The method does not require a foreknowledge of active protein concentration to measure and rank ligands based on their rates of dissociation. As such, the technique is self-contained and does not rely upon an external measure of protein activity as one of its input parameters. [Pg.150]

The PARS, developed to fill a gap in clinician-rated assessments of pediatric anxiety, was modeled after the CY-BOCS and Yale Global Tic Severity Scale (YGTSS Feckman et ah, 1989). The PARS consists of a 50-item symptom checklist, scored by the interviewing clinician as present or absent (yes/no) during a specific rating... [Pg.498]

Throughout the rest of this chapter, response and remission rates are used. Therefore, these concepts are briefly discussed here. Response is most often defined as a 50% or greater reduction in symptom severity as measured by a standardized rating assessment such as the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HDRS). The drawback to this approach is that response does not differentiate between partial and complete response, particularly when the initial symptom severity is high. Thus, a patient could be classified as a responder and still be quite symptomatic. In some instances, a patient could be classified as responder and still meet entry requirements for an antidepressant clinical trial based on their persistent symptom severity. [Pg.117]

Remission means that the symptom severity is below a predetermined cutoff on a standardized rating assessment ( 93). The cutoff score is generally such that... [Pg.117]

Body-fat analyses and resting metabolic rate assessments will be performed at a local fitness club during special event. [Pg.368]

The services will be provided in a new service area in the Feel Great Pharmacy. The service area will contain testing equipment, a computer, chairs, and a workspace. It will be made private through the use of cubicle dividers. Pharmacists will provide most of the services, except the body-fat analysis and resting metabolic rate assessments, which will be provided by a medical technician. An appointment system will be used so that extra staff can be present during delivery of the new services. [Pg.377]

Certain smaller suboxic environments within larger estuarine systems also show unbioturbated sections of sediments. Because of their generally rapid rate of accumulation, the cosmogenic nuclide Be (53 d half-life) may be used in addition to °Pb for sediment accumulation rate assessment for the more recently deposited sediments. Similarly the pattern of bomb-produced Cs in sediments can serve as a chronometer. In addition, radiocarbon ages commonly can be obtained from calcareous fractions in the accumulating sediment. All these approaches were used at the FOAM site in Long Island Sound by Krishnaswami et al. (1984). [Pg.3172]

Corrosion-rate assessment by Hnear polarisation resistance (LPR, Section 16.2.3) measurement after realkaUsation was also studied. Applying the usual criteria for LPR appeared not to be suitable for evaluating the corrosion state after realkahsa-tion [89]. Unusually low polarisation resistances were found, suggesting high corrosion rates. The explanation may be that during such measurements, oxidisation takes place of (low valence) iron oxides present on the reinforcement after the treatment [92]. [Pg.372]

The final ratings assessment of the RMBS notes will reflect the ratings scenario under which the notes will continue to receive all amounts due. This assessment will also take into account the potential variations in the timing of the losses and uncertainty in the prepayment rate on the mortgages. [Pg.367]

When it is considered to use an existing exchanger for changing conditions or new services, rating assessment must be conducted well in advance for the suitability of existing exchangers for such services. [Pg.97]

Based on the rating assessment in Example 6.2, it is observed that pressure drop on the shell side is too large to be allowed. Thus, a parallel arrangement is considered in this assessment as shown in Figure 6.4. The two exchangers are counted as one exchanger unit for the rating calculations below. [Pg.101]

The rating assessment was conducted for heat exchangers in the preheat train and the assessment results indicated that fouling occurred, to a varying degree, to most of the... [Pg.131]
