Central to the Verax approach is that the questionnaire results do not pigeon-hole you. Instead they provide a starting point for change. All twelve facets or dimensions are to do with one s thoughts or self-image. These impact on your performance. By changing your thoughts or your view of your self, you can increase your effectiveness. 

IMEP graphs are given. These graphs present the information retrieved from the questionnaire. Results in IMEP on solid samples have to be reported as content values corrected for dry mass. There is no protocol prescribed for moisture content determination. Participants are free to use their routine method. The majority of IMEP participants apply the oven-drying method at a certain temperature with or without prior equilibration of the sample at ambient conditions. Other questions regard the time needed for the analysis, the experience of the participants, and their regular participation in PT schemes. 

It was recently reported that women with a higher intake of n-3 fatty acids tend to have a lower risk of dry eye, based on information gathered from a questionnaire on dietary habits. A completed questionnaire was received from over 32,000 subjects in the Women s Health Study. A high dietary intake ratio of n-6 to n-3 fatty acids was associated with a greater prevalence in dry eye. Although the questionnaire results suggest intake of n-3 fatty acids and the ratio of their consumption to n-6 fatty acids can affect the amount of inflammatory activity in the body, there has been no systematic study to establish the role of fatty acids in the treatment of dry eye.

Around one month is provided for staff to respond to the questioimaire. The questioimaires are processed to provide descriptive statistics and a summaiy of the questionnaire results for all demographic sub-groups. 

Each workshop normally comprises 6-10 staff from the ANSP and will focus on issues raised by the questionnaire results. An example is shown in Figure 17.2, where a bar graph shows results from a questionnaire survey. 

Because most healthcare workers wear the very light disposable half-mask respirator, recommend that a health questionnaire be the initial step in the evaluation process. Refer to OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134 paragraph e for guidance on medical evaluation. Appendix B of the Standard contains a sample medical questionnaire. If results from this evaluation are essentially normal, the employee can be cleared for respirator wear. Further evaluation, possibly including a directed physical examination and/or spirometry, should be considered in cases in which potential problems are suggested on the basis of the questionnaire results. 

A general and persistent anxiety with nervousness and other symptoms is termed generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). It can lead to a chronic condition exacerbated by stressful events. Benzodiazepines are commonly used in treatment but they cause sedation, and long-term use may induce dependence or abuse. A second study (Woelk and Schlafke, 2010) compared the effects of Silexan with lorazepam in 78 patients with GAD. Over a 6-week period, they were administered daily either one Silexan capsule with a lorazepam placebo or a 0.5 mg lorazepam capsule and a Silexan placebo. Assessments were based on HAMA, HSQ, SAS, CGI, and the Penn State Worry Questionnaire. Results showed that the total HAMA score decreased by 45% and 46% in the Silexan and lorazepam groups, respectively. Other assessment scores improved to a similar extent for both groups. It was concluded that both Silexan and lorazepam had comparable positive effects in adults with GAD (Woelk and Schlafke, 2010). 

The main tool used to assess the safety management performance of the enterprises assessed is a safety management questionnaire. The safety management questionnaire results are the assessment of the public officer assigned to the enterprise after a visit and interview with the enterprise representatives. In most of the enterprises assessed there are at least two questionnaires, before and after the intervention. The before questionnaire results are used to recommend the enterprise possible areas of improvement in the safety management.

One-way RM ANOVAs using the techniques as the independent variable were conducted to analyze questionnaire results. Bonferroni corrections were used for multiple comparisons and Greenhouse-Geisser corrections were used when sphericity could not be assumed. For the purpose of the analyses, data were recoded such that greater numbers are better. To account for experiment-wise alpha inflation, effects with significance levels above. 003 (.05/17) should be interpreted with caution.
