Although the rigor supported by the method may not be fully utilized in this context, its facilities for types, refinement, and frameworks become more interesting when the process and project management needs are supported by tools. We will not expand further on this point here but mention it for completeness.

The next phases are detailed planning of restoration measures, planning of project assessment and project implementation. The final phase, utilization, includes maintenance measures, evaluation of project success, adaptive management and the communication of results. Throughout all phases of the project, the general political and societal framework conditions are taken into account. In short, project managers must deal with complex processes and consider the contextual analysis [7].

In any case, the Owner s Project Manager has the overall responsibility for achieving the project objectives (cost, schedule, quality) while keeping management well informed and doing so within the framework of the applicable policies and standards. 

The team that will develop the enterprise business model is assembled and briefed on the purpose, scope, and framework of the model. The team members may be from various parts of the enterprise, typically including representatives from the key business processes (strategic, core, and resource management). The internal team may be supplemented by outside resources, as necessary (e.g., information specialists, process facilitators, and the like). A skilled project manager is appointed whose role is to ensure that the model-development effort is properly planned and completed on time and within budget. 

When looking at the set of processes involved in or surrounding project management, it is useful to use a framework that the author has called the Project Concentric Circle Model. This model is depicted in Figure 1. 

Chapter 2 described examples of buzz about supply chains. Buzz is behind the scenes conversation regarding a trend. Concepts in this chapter, many of which were introduced in Supply Chain Project Management j describe six drivers, often hidden from view, fueling the need for change in the supply chain. The drivers mirror environmental trends — economic, technological, competitive, political, and social. We also describe a framework for defining supply chain requirements for flexibility. We view flexibility requirements as the cornerstone of supply chain design.

Before moving on from the design criteria to the detailed planning of engineering work, there are several project management systems and procedures which need to be in existence. These are simply standardized methods of working, which are indispensable in a team operation to promote efficiency and avoid omission, duplication, and confusion. The following are part of the basic framework.
