The decision framework

This framework covers the responsibilities of six types of participant in the refurbishment process, at the five primary interfaces for co-ordination and coimnunication that are required  [Pg.15]

The CDM Regulations are directed only to the first of these four areas of risk exposure, that of health and safety. Furthermore, the Regulations are narrowly focused. They relate only to the health and safety of employees while at work, and to other persons that are directly affected by the work undertakings. However, in setting up health and safety risk management procedures for refurbishment projects for buildings while in use, it is wise to consider the inclusion of the other three areas of risk, particularly those relating to the continuity of business operations. [Pg.19]

The first part, A decision framework for CDM, identifies the major areas for decision, the main participants that are involved, and the key interfaces for communication and co-ordination under the CDM Regulations.
