Programmable applications

Residue data wen obtained for a wide variety of crops as a part of the PRO data development programme. Applications of PBO were made weekly at the maximum allowable rate for 10 weeks. Crops were harvested immediately after the final treatnient and PBO levels determined. The highest PBO residues were observed in the leafy green vegetable crop group. Individual spinach samples showed levels as high as 38.7 ppm (Haltermann, 1996). This value was used in subset)ueni risk assessments as a representative w orsl-ease scenario. [Pg.127]

The software for the FES-BPB System is divided into two components. One component is the Clinician s Programmer application, which runs on a laptop computer. The other component is the firmware running on the MCU. The PC with the Clinician s Programmer interfaces with the MCU via a serial... [Pg.543]

As the VBER-150 is a two-loop modification of the VBER-300 reactor installation, the results of the latter project are being used in the design of the former. The Rosatom supports the VBER-300 design development within the framework of a national programme Application of Nuclear Power Sources for District Heating . The details of the VBER-300 design status are provided in [fV-1]. [Pg.223]

Computer programmes applicable to intermolecular exchange in non-first-order spin systems have been developed and their scope has been illustrated with reference to the equilibrium ... [Pg.306]

Among the users of chromatography around the world today, however, it is possible to see renewed increasing interest for TLC. Analysts have seen that sophisticated and specifically oriented methods cannot be properly used if they are not planned according to the results obtained by prescreening using much cheaper, less sensitive, but more informative methods, like TLC. The production of uniform TLC plates, programmable applicators, and development systems, and the use... [Pg.273]

The fluid properties of formation water may be looked up on correlation charts, as may most of the properties of oil and gas so far discussed. Many of these correlations are also available as computer programmes. It is always worth checking the range of applicability of the correlations, which are often based on empirical measurements and are grouped into fluid types (e.g. California light gases). [Pg.116]

In order to obtain a high signal-to-noise ratio sufficient acoustical power is necessary. For special applications a programmable pulser (transmitter) is required in order to optimize the frequency spectrum. [Pg.856]

For special applications such as air coupled testing a special programmable transmitter board was developed. This transmitter generates rectangular and burst signals, which increase the acoustical power in an optimized frequency range, and provides a superior signal-to-noise ratio. [Pg.861]

JChemPaint is a chemical structure drawing applet. The noteworthy characteristic of this 2D molecule editor is that it is an open source program [208]. This means that the software and the source code of the program are freely available. Every programmer or interested person can participate and enter individual special requests for further development of the application. [Pg.144]

Application-Specific Hardware. Another interesting trend is the development of appHcation-specific hardware. These systems are usually minimally programmable, but can offer exceptional performance on the class of problem for which they are designed. A particularly interesting appHcation-specific processor for molecular mechanics is currently being developed (31). [Pg.97]

Software In some programmable electronic systems (PES), errors are much easier to detect and correct than in others. Using the term software, in the wider sense, to cover all procedures, as distinct from hardware or equipment, some software is much friendlier than others. Training and instructions are obvious examples. As another example, if many types of gaskets or nuts and bolts are stocked, sooner or later the wrong type will be installed. It is better, and cheaper in the long run, to keep the number of types stocked to a minimum, even though more expensive types than are strictly necessaiy are used for some applications. [Pg.2268]

In principle, on-line SPE-LC can be automated quite easily as well, for instance, by using Such programmable on-line SPE instrumentation as the Prospekt (Spark Holland) or the OSP-2 (Merck) which have the capability to switch to a fresh disposable pre-column for every sample. Several relevant applications in the biomedical field have been described in which these devices have been used. Eor example, a fully automated system comprising an autosampler, a Prospekt and an LC with a UV... [Pg.267]
