Production target

Production levels will be influenced by external factors such as agreed production targets, market demand, the level of market demand for a particular product, agreements with contractors, and legislation. These factors are managed by planning of production rates and management of the production operation. [Pg.346]

Market forces determine the demand for a product, and the demand will be used to forecast the sales of hydrocarbons. This will be one of the factors considered by some governments when setting the production targets for the oil company. For example, much of the gas produced in the South China Sea is liquefied and exported by tanker to Japan for industrial and domestic use the contract agreed with the Japanese purchaser will drive the production levels set by the National Oil Company. [Pg.346]

The combination of two reagents corresponding to one d-synthon and one a-synthon under appropriate conditions yields an additional carbon-carbon bond (exception d°-synthons). The following obvious rules apply to the arrangement offunctionality in the product ("target molecule") ... [Pg.2]

His research program focuses on the asymmetric synthesis of biologically active, stereo-chemically complex, natural products. Target molecules are selected which pose unique challenges in asymmetric bond construction. A complex multistep synthesis endeavour... [Pg.334]

Replacement rates in suckler herds are typically 15% to 18%, with barrenness and late calving as the main reasons for culling. On lowland and upland farms it is best to calve British breeds at 24 months and continental crosses at 30 months, as they are later maturing. Key production targets are weight and condition score at mating and calving (Table 3.10) for dairy-bred replacements. [Pg.49]

Phytoremediation in the root zone. Proteins and enzymes produced by the plant can be exuded by the roots into the rhizosphere. These plant products target contaminants in the surrounding soil, leading to precipitation or immobilization in the root zone. This mechanism within phytostabilization may reduce the fraction of the contaminant in the soil that is bioavailable. [Pg.552]

This simple example illustrates that the wastewater target for a plant is dependent on the schedule of the tasks within the time horizon. It also illustrates that the least amount of wastewater generation can only be achieved if the schedule is flexible. This implies that time is treated as a variable instead of a parameter. Important to note is that the production over the time horizon has not been negatively affected by the changing of the schedule, both wastewater generation targets and production targets are achieved. [Pg.271]

A third path for research is to study associations between system change and improvement, on the one hand, and public and consumer responses, on the other. In particular, what are the conditions for the development and maintenance of trustworthiness and satisfaction through organisational and communicative procedures With better knowledge of consumer demands and improved quantification of risks and benefits to health, the future trend is likely to point towards increased differentiation, with different products targeting consumer groups with different priorities. Some consumers will demand more convenience, while others will invest in participatory community farm schemes that allow direct involvement in the production and preparation of their food. [Pg.508]

Demand patterns can also vary significantly ranging from cases where due dates must be obeyed to cases where production targets must be met over a time horizon (fixed or minimum). Changeovers are also a very important factor, which is particularly critical in cases of transitions that are sequence dependent on the products, as opposed to simple setups that are only unit dependent. [Pg.166]

The corporate operations planning model sets target levels and prices for interrefinery transfers, crude and product allocations to each refinery, production targets, and inventory targets for the end of each refinery model s time horizon. [Pg.554]

The yield of the crystallization step must achieve acceptable productivity targets. [Pg.47]

It the productivity target cannot be achieved then a co-solvent system could be selected using solubility prediction methods like NRTL-SAC [1] and Local UNIFAC [4], The addition of a second solvent to increase solubility is an effective way of increasing productivity for a sparingly soluble solute. [Pg.47]
