Ensure that the actual instrument configuration conforms to what is written under Experimental supplier, models, modifications, consumables (HPLC or GC columns, gaskets, etc.), and software for the main instrument, peripherals (injectors, integrators, computers, printers, plotters, etc.), and ancillary equipment (vortexer, dispensers, balances, centrifuges, filters, tubing, etc.). [Pg.143]

Output can be directed to a variety of printers, plotters, and display terminals, and it is even possible for sophisticated users to add support for new kinds of devices, through a facility called the terminal data table, without a need for system programming. [Pg.29]

Chromatographic System. The isocratic liquid chromatograph used was a Waters Associates (Milford, MA) Model 24A alc which included a Model 6000A Solvent Delivery System, a Model 401 Differential Refractometer and a Model 440 Absorbance Detector operating at 254 nm and was fitted with a WISP automatic injector. The analog outputs of the UV absorbance detector or differential refractometer were recorded with a Model 730 Data Module (printer, plotter, integrator)(Waters). Eluent flow rate was 1.0 ml/min unless otherwise noted. [Pg.175]

The data reduction hardware is based on a Hewlett-Packard 9825A desk top computer. It is supported by one megabyte of flexible disk storage, a printer/plotter and the necessary interface equipment for on-line LSC data collection. Reliability was a prime factor when the hardware was chosen. The LSC(s) and data system run virtually unattended, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Samples are typically counted for two minutes each plus one minute for the external standard. Therefore, data from the four counters are received by the HP9825A at an average interval of 45 seconds. With such a demand on the system, computers require good service support, more so than other instruments. Since installation in May, 1977, there have been less than two work days of cumulative downtime. [Pg.288]

Besides the traditional type of chart recorder, chart integrators, or "printer-plotters" as they are often called, may be used. Printer-plotters automatically calculate the percentage of each component in the total mixture and print this out in the form of a list of retention times and percentages. But, unless a correction factor is applied to each component, these values, which are based on the characteristic response of the detector, are not normally accurate to within more than a 10-20% variation. [Pg.62]

The production of colour graphics this requires a good-quality colour printer/plotter. [Pg.316]

Commodore has established several standards for device numbers Printers are usually device 4, although some can be changed to device 5, the 1520 Printer/Plotter is designed to be device 6, and device numbers 8 and above usually refer to disk drives. Device 8 is the default number for the disk drive, and almost all software assumes the disk drive will have this device number device 9 is the most common choice for a second drive. Commodore 1541 and 1571 drives allow you to select any device number via software, or numbers 8-11 via hardware. [Pg.14]

High Performance Liquid Chromatography. Tissue extracts were analyzed with a Varian model 5020 liquid chromatograph equipped with a Rheo-dyne model 7120 loop injector valve, a Tracer 970 variable wavelength detector set at 257 nm, an automated Hewlett-Packard 3385A printer-plotter system for determining retention times and peak areas, and a Waters /x Bondapak column (3.9 mm i.d. X 300 mm) for carbohydrate analysis. The buffer was eluted isocratically at 1 mL/min with a 1 4 (v/v) mixture of 0.01 M monobasic sodium phosphate (pH 4.46) and methanol. The minimum amount detectable was 10 ng. [Pg.276]

The HP 3052A data acquisition system consists of a 9825A calculator with a real time clock, a multichannel scanner, a high speed digital volt meter and a printer/plotter for display purposes. The system software consists of a monitoring program and an analysis program written in HPL. [Pg.244]

A schematic diagrams of the system is shown in Figure 9.24. Data may be obtained by recording on a strip-chart recorder or transferred via an RS-232 interface to a Hewlett-Packard Model HP87 microcomputer. In the latter, the data curve is displayed on a CRT screen or a printer/plotter. [Pg.589]

Registration devices for the registration of detector response in the instruments of the second and third generations, potentiometric recorders are most often used. The primary as well as integrated and otherwise processed data in the instruments of the fourth generation are registered by printer-plotter devices. [Pg.290]
