Metabolism Aluminium-induced oxidative stress is well known a recent clinical study confirmed direct correlation of plasma aluminium concentration with oxidative stress and DNA damage in aluminium-exposed humans. Study showed high aluminium plasma concentration associated witii lymphocyte DNA damage, plasma protein carbonyl content and malondialdehyde levels, while low total antioxidant capacity in aluminium-exposed subjects compared to those non exposed [7 ].
