Oven temperature products

The submitters purified the product by distillation in a Kugelrohr apparatus with an oven temperature of 85-88 C (20 mm) and obtained 3.80-3.85 g (88-89%). The purity of the product was 93-96% according to GLC analysis. The major impurity (2-6%) was 1-acetyl-2-methy1cyclohexene. [Pg.20]

On 0.01-raol scale the yield of ethyl 2,3-pentadienoate is 0.79-0.93 g (64-74%). The product was purified by bulb-to-bulb distillation with a Kugelrohr apparatus at 12-14 rm with an oven temperature at 75-85 C. [Pg.205]

Newer silicone adhesives having solids levels up to 97% are also commercially available [109]. Instead of using silanol condensation reactions, they rely on addition chemistry between vinyl functional silicone oligomers and silicon hydride terminated silicones. This addition reaction is typically facilitated with platinum derived catalysts. This hydrosilation process can be run at reduced oven temperatures, but the finished products typically do not yield the same balance of properties as seen for condensation cure materials. [Pg.507]

The thermal sweeper is a commercial product licensed to Zoex Corporation, Lincoln, NA, USA (16). The sweeper incorporates a slotted heater (operated at about 100 °C above the oven temperature) which passes over the capillary column (normally an intermediate thicker film column is used in this region as an accumulator zone). Eigure 4.3 is a schematic diagram of how the instrumental arrangement may be considered. The greater temperature of the rotating sweeper forces the solute which has been retained in the phase in the accumulator section to be volatilized out of the phase into the carrier gas stream, and then bunched up and brought forward... [Pg.82]

The product is analyzed by vapor phase chromatography using a 6-ft., f-in. O.D. copper tube, packed with 5% Bentone-34 (Wilkins Instrument Co.) and 0.5% XF-1150 (General Electric Silicone Products) on Diatoport-S (80-100 mesh) (F and M Co.) flow rate of helium 60 ml./min., oven temperature 85°. This column separates m-cymene (retention time 12 minutes) from />-cymene (retention time 10 minutes) but does not resolve the ortho isomer. The purity of the distilled w-cymene is above 98%. [Pg.43]

Hot splitless Liquid sample passes from syringe into hot inlet initial oven temperature critical (ca. 10 °C lower than b.p. of solvent) bulk of sample enters column (splitless time of 10-40 s) Dilute samples, containing heavy by-products Very broad, focusing required 0.1-2 80-95... [Pg.188]

C. Methyl 3,3-dimethyl-4-oxobutanoate (3). A 50-mL flask, connected to a gas bubbler and equipped with a magnetic stirring bar, is charged with 20 mL of dichloromethane (or tetrahydrofuran), 2.16 g (10.0 mmol) of siloxycyclopropane 2 and 3.64 g (30.0 mmol) of triethylamine hydrofluoride (NEt3-HF) prepared in situ (Note 15). This mixture is stirred for 1 hr at room temperature (Note 16) and diluted with 20 mL of water. The aqueous phase is extracted with three 20-mL portions of dichloromethane. The combined organic phases are dried with magnesium sulfate, filtered, and concentrated on a rotary evaporator (bath temperature below 40°C). Crude product 3 is distilled with a Kugelrohr oven (oven temperature 105°C, 10 mm) to provide 1.26 g (87%) of pure 3 as a colorless liquid (Note 17). [Pg.232]

Extrusion cooking is a special case because a water-containing product can be heated above 100°C without the water boiling off. Except in pressure cooking, regardless of the oven temperature the interior of a baked product can not rise above 100°C until all the water has been driven off. [Pg.67]

Water in Oven Cooked Products. In oven baked products the inside of the product is not going to reach boiling point, indeed one of the simplest ways of obtaining a well-controlled temperature is to rely on holding a liquid at its boiling point. However, in a baked product, as the temperature rises the vapour pressure of the water rises, causing water to be lost by evaporation. [Pg.67]

Activity Measurements. To test catalytic properties of various samples partial oxidation of methanol to formaldehyde was studied in a flow micro-reactor operating under normal atmospheric pressure (10). For each run about 0.2 g of catalyst sample was used and the activities were measured at 173 C in the absence of any diffusional effects. The feed gas consisted of 72, 2 and by volume of nitrogen, oxygen and methanol vapor respectively. Reaction products were analysed with a 10% Carbowax 20 M column (2m long) maintained at 60 C oven temperature. [Pg.206]

The submitters obtained 8.3-9.1 g (86-94%) boiling at 85-107°C, 0.4 mm. The reported bp of N,N-dimethyl-N -p-tolylformamidine is C (30 urn).3 A gas chromatographic analysis of the product using a 1/4 x 10 column packed with 5% carbowax 20 M supported on 80-100 mesh chromosorb N exhibited a single peak with a retention time of 4.8 min at an oven temperature of 220 C with a flow rate of 60 cc/mln. The checkers redistilled the product to obtain colorless material, bp 69.5°C (0.2 mm), which was analyzed. Anal. Calcd for... [Pg.88]

The charring temperature of wood is lower than the ignition temperature. Forest Products Laboratory tests show that charring of the wood can take place at oven temperatures of 225 F. with long periods of heating, and field experience shows that wood in long contact with low-pressure steam pipe becomes charred, and under favorable circumstances ignition may occur. [Pg.88]

When coal is thermally pyrolyzed or distilled by heating without contact with air, it is converted into a variety of solid, liquid, and gaseous products. The nature and amount of each product depends upon the temperature used in the pyrolysis and the variety of the coal used. In general practice, coke-oven temperatures are maintained above 900°C but may range anywhere from 500 to 1000°C. The principal product by weight is coke. [Pg.174]

The operating conditions for the conventional production runs were established commercial practices and represent the best practical combination of oven temperature and range speed for effective drying of fabric for that particular range. [Pg.165]
