J. P. Fraser, S. A. Horn, L. J. Kazmierczak, M. L. Kinworthy, A. H. Lasday, and J. Lindstedt-Siva. Guidelines for use of dispersants on spilled oil— a model plan. In Proceedings Volume, pages 331-332. API et al Oil Spill (Prev, Behav, Contr, Cleanup) 20th Anniv Conf (San Antonio, TX, 2/13-2/16), 1989. [Pg.391]

The model is implemented and evaluated with an industry case. The technical implementation is described first. Then, the industry case is introduced and model-relevant case data are presented. Model reaction tests are conducted for various industry case data sets to analyze model applicability, sensitivity and model planning results. Model performance tests are conducted to analyze technical parameters such as solution time or approximation methods quality. The case evaluation inspired several model extension possibilities presented at the end of the chapter. [Pg.207]

The base price for the 2009 Toyota Prius is 20,680. Toyota has enjoyed phenomenal demand for its Prius hybrid car. The Japanese firm responded by building a new, half-mile-long assembly line capable of turning out one Prius per minute. Toyota hopes to increase U.S. sales of the Prius to 600,000 vehicles yearly by 2012 or so. Honda is also hoping to get back into the hybrid market after discontinuing its Insight model due to poor sales. A hybrid Civic will hit showrooms in 2009, one of four hybrid models planned for release by 2015. [Pg.56]

Next the individual process steps are developed (design, calculations, tests, quality assurance measures). All of these activities enter the piping and instrumentation (P I) diagram, which later forms the basis for preparing the plant model, planning construction work, technical data sheets, and the safety and measurement and control concept. [Pg.310]

Each State shall adopt a contractor accreditation plan at least as stringent as the model plan developed by the Administrator under paragraph (1), within 180 days after the commencement of the first regular session of the legislature of such State which is convened following the date on which the Administrator completes development of the model plan. In the case of a school operated under the defense dependents education system provided for under the Defense Dependents Education Act of 1978 (20 U.S.C. 921 et seq.), the Secretary of Defense shall adopt a contractor accreditation plan at least as stringent as that model. [Pg.921]

Within 180 days after October 22, 1986, the Administrator shall ensure that any Enviromnental Protection Agency-approved asbestos training course is consistent with the model plan (including testing requirements) developed under subsection (b) of this section. A contractor may be accredited by taking and passing such a comse. [Pg.922]

B) passed (or passes) an asbestos test either before or after October 22, 1986, may be accredited under paragraph (1) if the Administrator determines that the course and test are equivalent to the requirements of the model plan developed under subsection (b) of this section. If the Administrator so determines, the person shall be considered accredited for the purposes of this subchapter until a date that is one year after the date on which the State in which such person is employed establishes an accreditation program pmsuant to subsection (b) of this section. [Pg.922]

B) a Hst of asbestos courses and tests which the Administrator determines under paragraph (1) are consistent with the model plan and which wiU qualify a contractor for accreditation under such paragraph. [Pg.922]

It is an unquestioned objective of the robustness test using statistical experimental design (DoE = Design of Experiments) to perform a systematic investigation of the connections between target values y and factors x, %2,. .. x with very few experiments. The last process operation parameters are the product heater specifications. Since we are building a rigorous fractionation section in this example, we only enter estimated values. If there is no frachonahon model planned, we can enter measured values for the heater immediately preceding the gasoline stabilization tower. In Figure 5.60, once we enter the product heater specifications, we notice a yellow bar indicating that we are ready to solve the model. In the next section, we will discuss how to solve the model and ensure robust convergence. [Pg.323]
