Action Items are generated when the team found that it needed more information before a defensible finding could be issued. Usually action items are assigned to team members during the course of the analysis they can often be completed quite quickly—say at the next break in the hazards analysis meetings. This guideline offers several examples of qualitative tools to help a PSSR leader and his or her team determine whether a PSSR can be done simply (for example, a visual inspection and documentation of completion using a minimal checklist) or whether it needs to be performed in a more complex fashion due to the hazards and potential risks involved. For example, a major addition to a unit might involve several PSSR team meetings and reviews with some action items to be completed after startup. [Pg.6]

Some individuals are reluctant to volunteer to draft meeting summaries because of writer s block and/or concern with appearance or elegance. Stress the need to record decisions, action items, and individuals responsible for action items. [Pg.140]

Recap Action Items One way to recap action items is to go around the room and say Most of you committed to action items—please review them for the group before we adjourn. Another approach is to develop, as the meeting progresses, a visible, running list of action items and who will do them. [Pg.143]

Back to meetings. A possible explanation for not preparing meeting summaries is that we each took our own notes so we don t need official group notes (Domalik 2010). The fallacy here is that the individual notes are likely to have many differences on important decisions and action items. [Pg.344]

Political economic differences and market position have also influenced how the Bologna Process has unfolded across Europe. A biennial self-assessment conducted under the Bologna Process since 2005 has demonstrated that there has been substantial variation in how quickly the ten action lines (action items) defined over the course of three key ministerial meetings between 1999 and 2003 were picked up by the different EU countries (Terry, 2008).
