Lubricant emulsions

The lubricant emulsions used are of the 0/W type, with a more or less substantial proportion of oil. Microemulsions are employed, as well as finely dispersed O/W emulsions, which can also be created with the PIT process. [Pg.408]

This hypothesis can be illustrated, for example, on cooling lubricant emulsions as well as water-based coating and cleaning agent systems. [Pg.107]

Polyoxyethylene ester surfactants are used in both industrial and household formulations. Specific end-use product areas include textile scouring agents, softening agents, dye assistants, and lubricants emulsions and wettable powders used in agricultural pest control and home floor, rug, and wall cleaners, as well as laundering and dishwashing compositions. Specific formulations for such products can be found in the literature (3). [Pg.117]

The lubricating emulsion passes through a cycle. Fresh rolling oil emulsion is applied at the stand. Some of the water evaporates in the roll gap and the emulsion and the oil form a lubricating film on the siuface of the steel. The residual emulsion is run off. The run-off emulsion, whose composition now differs from that of the... [Pg.407]
