These components would normally be evaluated in a rodent species (preferably rats) and, in addition, embryo-fetal development would be evaluated in a second species, typically the rabbit. The most probable option in the ICH guideline is the case where three rodent studies would be conducted that separately addressed each of the components listed above. These study designs are described below. The day of insemination or detection of evidence of mating is considered Day 0 of gestation and the day of birth is considered postpartum and postnatal Day 0. Figure 8.1 presents line charts for the ICH Stage-Study Designs. [Pg.259]

Figure 2. Line chart showing intracellular ATP concentration in freshly isolated peripheral blood mononuclear cells, control (open circle) or irradiated with a dose of 4 Gy X-ray (closed circle). Bars represent SD of triplicates of a single experiment. ATP concentration was normalised for mg of total protein content (Cristiano Ferlini, unpublished observations). Figure 2. Objective This section describes the meaning of quality correspondence between ISO 9001 1994 and international standard ISO 9001 2000 and basic changes in ISO 9001 2000 international standard. It also provides a time line chart and documentation, and describes the registration/certification process. [Pg.429]

Besides their use in determining a mean or median value, the numbers of particles in various size intervals can be plotted as bar charts or line charts. These plots are pictures of the size distribution of the aerosol. This is useful in envisioning the range and frequency of the sizes present. [Pg.217]

Figure 2.1a shows a line chart of the midpoints of the data. Although the particle diameter distribution is plainly shown, it is possible to alter the shape of the distribution by changing the interval size. [Pg.217]

When a bar chart is plotted instead of a line chart, as in Fig. 2.16, this problem is not as severe. The ordinate or height of each bar is normalized by dividing the number of particles in an interval by the width of that interval. The width of each bar represents the actual width of each size interval. Then the area of each block represents the relative frequency of particles in that particular size interval. [Pg.217]

The 3-D Surface chart type in Excel s gallery of charts is not a true 3-D chart, but rather a Line chart in two dimensions. The X and Y axes are Categories — only the Z axis is proportional to the data plotted. Thus if you attempt to produce a 3-D chart using Excel, you ll have to take this limitation into account and work within it. The values on the X and Y axes must be equally spaced. Since only one Z axis value can be charted for any pair of X and Y Axis values, you can t produce a plot of a closed surface, such as a sphere. But this type of chart can be useful, for example, to show the effect of changing two variables on the yield of a process. [Pg.123]

All sheets but the Unit Sheet may have subsheets. The Plot Sheet, for example, may have a Line Chart, Bar Chart, or Pie Chart Subsheet, or all three at once. These subsheets in turn can be based on List Subsheets, on which the actual data values are entered. You can add text comments to any statement or expression by enclosing the comment in quotes. [Pg.192]

Validation schedule is the last but not the least important component of overall validation activity. The validation schedule prepared for ABC Pharmaceutical Industries defines a time line chart for the execution of IQ, OQ, PQ, PV, CLV, etc., to attain sufficient documented evidence to give reasonable assurance that the process under consideration does and/or will do what it purports to do. [Pg.163]

Today s spreadsheets offer many choices when it comes to creating charts. You can create column charts (or histograms), pie charts, line charts, or xy charts. As an et fneering student, and later as a practicing engineer, most of the charts that you will create wiU be of type charts. Therefore, next we will explain in detail how to create an oy chart... [Pg.389]
