Trade Secrets When a toll involves proprietary information, a system must exist to ensure that employees have the process safety related knowledge needed to meet the intent of the process safety management system.

The chemical and physical properties of each of these window materials vary widely. The NMMS must be able to benefit from and contribute to other existing tools for measuring or understanding an organisation s performance, e.g. other safety-related information systems, audits, Total Quality Programmes, etc. This also means that the level of acceptance of a NMMS should, in itself, be considered as an important measure of an organisation s performance or "safety culture" (see Chapter 6). 

When it comes to Confidential Business Information (CBI), REACH (Tide XII) contains several provisions granting rights to companies, including protection of information regarding the full composition of preparations, the precise use and tonnage of substances and links between companies (Article 118).20 On the other hand, Article 119 explicitly lists information that shall be made publicly available by electronic means, for instance names and classifications of substances and safety-related data, unless the submitter can justify not doing so. Additional information from companies can also be made available upon request (see further in EDF 2007a). 

As an essential advantage of this method, all safety-related information and boundary conditions can be deduced from one diagram. The safety factor 1.5 has been incorporated into the diagram already. 

A5.2.2.1 In general, consumers rely on product labels for information about the effects of a chemical product. Whereas other sectors have additional sources of information (e.g. safety data sheets, transport documents) to expand upon or refine product information and relate risk to the hazard information provided, the consumer sector generally does not. 

When the FDA decides that a certcun clinical trial should be delayed, the agency contacts the sponsor within the 30-day period to initiate what is called a clinical hold —the delay of the clinical trial until potential problems or unanswered questions are addressed. Aside from the safety-related reasons mentioned above, the FDA may base a clinical hold on other grounds, including that the IND does not contain sufficient information to assess the risks of using the drug in clinical trials.
