Instance name

The list of synonyms included in the Alphabetical index is by no means exhaustive. Although it contains a large number of formal chemical and biological names, it primarily contains historical names, military code names, and common names for the agents, precursors, components, and degradation products included in this handbook. In some instances, names that have been popularized in the media but have no other historical connection to the agent have been included.

Despite these drawbacks, fluorescent measurements are extremely useful in specific instances, namely, where the spectrofluorimeter is already at hand, the assay method has been properly standardized, and a large number of samples containing relatively small amounts of retinol must be analyzed. Under these conditions, excellent results can be obtained quickly and cheaply. The measurement of retinol in biological samples by fluorescence has also been automated (Kahan, 1973 Thompson and Madere, 1978 Giuliany, 1981). 

The workflow is triggered when a customer orders a machinery, or anything that needs assembly. We assume that the workflow generates a trace inside a log. By utilizing this log by PM, we extract the timing information needed for our calculation. The log must contain enough information for the PM to work [3,13] (such as start and end time, activity ID and instance name). The timing behavior can still be extracted, even if the workflow model itself is not known. 

In DC terminology, cell names and instance names are the same. References are either sub-designs or cells from a technology library. For example, if a design uses an IVA library cell as in Example 1.7, the tool provides it with an instance name (or cell name) such as U6. IVA is the reference and U1 is an instance of the IVA reference, which in turn is a library cell. 

The reference xxx is a subdesign that is instantiated in yyy with instance name u 1. XXX does not have a db file which exists in one of the directories in the search path Read in the source HDL for xxx before reading in the HDL for yyy. If a db file already exists for reference xxx, modify the search path variable to include the path to the db file. 

Characterize and compile each sub-block individually. In other words, you have two sub-designs s1 and s2 (instance names are u1 and u2 respectively) contained in top. The dc shell script will be as follows ...

Is there a way to control instance names inferred by DC during synthesis ... 

Example 6.3 shows a PDEF file written out by the Floorplanner from Compass Design Automation. The PDEF file shows three clusters for this design II, 12 and top ga. Also, information provided in the PDEF file is the actual cell instance names in each of the clusters.

You have an SDF file generated after place and route where all the instance names are in upper case. But this is not so in the DC design database where all the instances are in lower case. 

SDF is a case sensitive file. One option is to change instance names in the SDF file to lower case. Another option that can be exercised within DC, is to make all the instance names of the design upper-case. This can be done by using the commands define name rules and change names. Here is an example ... 

Use the setjmplementation command to specify the cla implementation. You do not have to read in the source HDL to set the implementation. Execute the rcport rcsourccs command. This should report the adders, muxes, and other resources used in the design. Once you know the instance name and the required implementation, use the set implementation command as follows ... 

U1 is the instance name of the adder module and cla the name of the desired implementation. Then, re-compile the design. 

This is a generic script to characterize, and write script for a hierarchical design. The output of the write jscript for each instance is written to a file with the same name as the instance name. This script finds all the references in the current design, then looks... 

At the top level, if one has a number of cells, a few sub-designs, and others, library cells, report cell is one wry to get the entire list of cells and their instance names at the top level. This script helps to get the instance names of only the subdesigns in the hierarchy.
