Implementation roadmap

Implementation Roadmap This is a Type 1 methodology that describes how a supply chain improvement efi ort is Kkely to unfold over a three-phase implementation process. [Pg.279]

The committee cautioned that the report offers a strategic framework and blueprint for change, not an immediate roadmap or next steps plan. The third recommendation called for a public process of stakeholder deliberations to explore the full implications of the proposal and address technical design issues. The lOM recommended that the National Vaccine Program Office (NVAC) of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control convene a series of regional and national meetings with the major stakeholders and others to rehne the recommendations and develop plans for implementation. [Pg.112]

In the past, CRM has often been both perceived and tackled ERP style , i.e., large rollouts of complete integrated packages that led to expensive, monolithic projects. But CRM, by its very nature, is much more diverse in its functionality, more dynamic in its process evolution, and less clear in its organizational ownership (Fig. 23.8). Clear focus on the most beneficial functionalities and an evolutionary roadmap allow better learning and more flexibility when implementing CRM. This suggests three key questions to be answered up front ... [Pg.306]

With the help and cooperation of standards and model code development organizations, industry, and other interested parties, DOE has established a coordinated national agenda for hydrogen and fuel cell codes and standards. With the adoption of the Research, Development, and Demonstration Roadmap and with its implementation through the Codes and Standards Technical Team, DOE helps strengthen the scientific basis for requirements incorporated in codes and standards that, in turn, will facilitate international market receptivity for hydrogen and fuel cell technologies. [Pg.309]

The technical goal for each of these Focus Areas is to gather sufficient information and validating experience on technology applications so that the responsible SDO or CDP can proceed with better data upon which to base requirements incorporated in its codes and standards. Each Focus Area is subdivided into key Target Areas, which identify important information needs for which information is required by SDOs and CDOs to fully develop codes and standards. Completion of RD D for the individual technical Target Areas, in conjunction with information distribution, is expected to result in the subsequent development of safe, performance-based codes and standards. The Roadmap will be implemented over the next five years as proposed in the timeline for the Focus Areas. [Pg.314]

In both regions, the vision and roadmap documents stress an integral and connected approach for research and development, but are less clear about market development. The European Union did not address market issues early on, although a May 2003 EU directive does promote alternative fuels for transport (European Commission, 2003). That directive is planned to be a stepping-stone aimed to stimulate a market pull for alternative fuels. The U.S. implementation programs address market issues, but actual policies and programs have not been proposed. My preliminary characterization of the U.S. implementation plans would be high priority for research and development and low priority for market development. [Pg.161]

The final section of this chapter has been dedicated to a concise discussion of a vision and roadmap for sustainability through chemistry, taken from the implementation action plan prepared by the European Technology Platform on Sustainable Chemistry. This plan evidences the pervasive role of chemistry for our society and thus how a next step is necessary in R D to really realize a sustainable world through chemistry innovation. [Pg.69]
