Field checklist

Preparation of a field checklist to inspect critical items prior to start-up... [Pg.211]

A team of seven workers from three different field crew locations and the district manager designed the safety process. They created a checklist that worked for all of the field groups and an additional one for clerical and office settings. The field checklist included items relating to body position, line of fire, general work conditions, and vehicle safety. [Pg.234]

John J. France of Sulzer Chemtech USA Inc. provided expert information on troubleshooting distillation columns to the Rio Grand Chapter of AIChE. Checklists were provided for troubleshooting mechanical problems based on considerable successful field experience. This portion of the presentation is presented here with permission. [Pg.297]

This second edition features in-depth coverage of actual response techniques and new approaches for coping with critical situations caused by criminal activity, industrial accidents, or even mini-epidemics. Augmenting its coverage of field first aid for response personnel, this edition contains up-to-date tools such as checklists and streamlined procedures for on-scene coordination. It incorporates the latest detection devices, cost/recovery and hazard analyses, diagnostic methods, pretreatments, vaccines, decontamination techniques, antidotes, and medical treatments available. This edition also adds a focused review of the progress and projected developments for military protocols and procedures. [Pg.495]

The matrix cells do not represent data fields that require numerical values. In first instance they are to be used as a framework for a thought process what needs to be considered and which assessment parameters are affected by certain upset (failures) and how. Where applicable it is possible to give relevant cells a checkmark after due consideration/verification. (For the preparation of checklists, see for example /12/). [Pg.236]

A list of field supplies may be quickly put together by reviewing the SAP and the procedures for the sampling to be performed. Using a sampling checklist, similar to one shown in Appendix 8, will facilitate efficient preparation. [Pg.88]

Make a checklist of field sampling equipment and supplies. [Pg.88]

The checklist was developed through discussions with consultants and Quality Assurance directors and has been field-tested in final form with five successful requests. [Pg.46]

The Field Indirects Checklist and Field Indirects Criteria in Appendix K are intended mainly as control tools to check contractors detailed estimates and planning as well as to monitor their performance in reimbursable contracts. They can also be used as an estimating tool to develop in-house detailed or semi-detailed estimates. However, for in-house and preliminary estimates, sufficient accuracy can be achieved by ratioing the field indirects to direct labor and subcontracts. [Pg.334]

When construction is totally subcontracted the field indirects are a mixed bag some are included in the subcontracts while others must be provided by the construction manager or the general contractor. The field indirects likely to be provided by the construction manager or the general contractor are identified in the Field Indirects Checklist. [Pg.334]

Most students will have access to specialist textbooks giving in-depth coverage of the theoretical principles and knowledge covered in lectures. This book aims to supplement - rather than replace - such textbooks, and covers the skills required in laboratory classes, together with practical advice, tips, hints, worked examples, definitions, key points, how to boxes and checklists which are useful in the field of chemistry. The text provides an outline on the underlying theoretical principles where necessary, but emphasis throughout is on the practical applications of this information. [Pg.372]

The job of an inspector is to record field operations in sufficient detail so that a judgment can be made as to whether the project specs are being followed or violated. Normally, this will require the keeping of daily written records, often on work sheets specifically tailored to the project. The responsibility of the inspector may overlap that of the supervisor to the extent that he/she may be required to make decisions as to whether procedures and equipment meet the specifications. The extent of the responsibility of an inspector should be detailed to the satisfactory agreement of both the owner and the contractor prior to the start of field work. A checklist of areas for inspector activity follows. [Pg.464]

The affected area is surveyed by ground surveys, aerial reconnaissance, or aerial videos. Usually all three methods are combined. The team completes observations and measurements on a segment, produces a sketch map of the site, and fills in forms or checklists of observations on the site. During the field work, the SCAT team documents the distribution and character of stranded oil, the amount and location of subsurface oil, shoreline characteristics, and the character of the substrate. Ecological and human resources in the segment are documented. [Pg.169]

Each component and section of the checklist should be carefully reviewed for content and completeness. Every precaution must be taken so that the applicant does not receive a letter of Refusal to Receive that clarifies the CDER s decision to refuse to receive an incomplete application. The specific copies i.e., archival, review, and field, to be submitted in the ANDA, outlined in the beginning of the checklist, should follow the NDA format as stated below. [Pg.157]

A. General. Actions to be taken by field units at the platoon, company, and battalion levels are given, in the form of checklists, for a number of possible BW scenarios in FM 3-3, Appendix B. See also Figure 4-A and Table 4-A in this chapter. [Pg.119]
