The use of petrochemical solvents has been the key to the majority of chemical processes but not without severe implications on the environment. The Montreal Protocol identified the need to reevaluate all chemical processes with regard to the use of VOCs and the impact these VOCs may have on the environment. Green solvents are being developed as a more environmental-Mendly alternative to petrochemical solvents. [Pg.527]

A number of amorphous thermoplastics are presently employed as matrices in long fiber composites, including polyethersulfone (PES), polysulfone (PSU), and polyetherimide (PEI).
