Documentation photography

Instant photographs are widely used for identification purposes, for example, for drivers Hcenses, student identification cards, and credit cards that can be issued immediately. Most passport photographs generated in the United States are instant color prints. Industrial and business appHcations include photographs of record for insurance purposes, constmction documentation, and real estate photography. [Pg.509]

I o document by video or photography what is being visualized is oiteri very useful. This makes it possible to analyze more carefully what has been documented. It is not possible to see all details the first time and the omt analysis of the results by all involved persons w/ill many times be valiiai)ie. [Pg.1110]

This method of chromatogram preservation has lost a great deal of its importance with the increasing perfection of photographic methods, particularly since true-colored, instant, paper and slide positives have become available. Photography is the more rapid method of documentation if suitable photographic equipment is available. [Pg.134]

Color reproduction of the chromatograms can be achieved by color photography — the best, but also the most expensive method of documenting thin-layer chromatograms. It can be used not only to produce true-color reproductions of colored zones but also — with the aid of a Reprostar (Fig. 64) or a UVIS analysis lamp (Fig. 6) — of fluorescent or fluorescence-quenched zones. When photograph-... [Pg.136]

A description of the trial area, which includes a layout of the plots, the previous history of the trial area, a description of the plots, special local features, and the ownership of the land, should be recorded. Increasingly, digital photography is used to document site location, type of application used, crop growth stage, etc. [Pg.180]

Documentation of the tests should also be provided by still photography, video camera/recorder systems, and high speed photography. The high speed photography with a minimum speed of 500 frames per second Is necessary to be able to see any flame front exiting a shield. A list of typical Instrumentation used on an operational shield test Is shown on Table II, (see reference A). [Pg.299]

MerimetsanAlchemy, as part two of this project furthers the exploration of intersecting the polyphonic fashion system with rehab production. This time the strategy was to widen the interface between production situation and the consumer, not through a mimetic approach to fashion photography, but by respectful documentation of the work in Merimetsa. Instead of com-... [Pg.3]

Typically, position data are recorded by documenting visual observations, photography, drawings, maps, and measurements. Photography can be used to record such items as ... [Pg.136]

The normal practice is to designate a single person on the incident investigation team to coordinate photography. This person works closely with the team member responsible for documentation and record keeping and coordinates with other groups outside the team. [Pg.146]

English system measurements into metric equivalents quickly enlightens the instructor to the abhorrence that the non-scientist has towards mathematical manipulations. No prior knowledge of scientific principles can be assumed. In our opinion, those subjects which have not been found to be easily integrated with chemical and biological principles are best omitted from the first course of study. Hence, forensic photography, the polygraph, document examination and speed detection devices are topics that are not included in the curriculum. [Pg.24]

I also understand that the photography may be used to document my ocular status as well as for future use in publications, videotapes, or other educational presentations that may or may not benefit me. [Pg.69]

Both allergic and irritant mechanisms have been proposed as explanations for eye symptoms. More rapid tear-film break-up time, a measure of tear film instability, is associated with increased levels of symptoms. Fat-foam thickness measurement and photography for documentation of ocular erythema have also been used. Some authors attribute eye symptoms at least in part to increased individual susceptibility based on those factors. In addition, office workers with ocular symptoms have been demonstrated to blink less frequently when working at video display terminals. Conjunctival staining with fluorescent dyes is a common clinical test for conjunctivitis sicca. [Pg.2401]

Digital photography is another way to add images. The photographs in the memory of a digital camera can be downloaded into a computer, then edited and added to the document. [Pg.142]

The results of early treatment emphasize the role for early detection and prevention. The American Academy of Dermatology recommends monthly self-examination of skin to serve as a mechanism of recognizing moles or marks on the skin that may be melanoma. Patients with a strong family history should have a clinical examination, and in some cases, screening photography to document size, shape, and location of moles. [Pg.2537]
