University newspapers and news offices may offer opportunities to gain experience while you are a student. Formal university programs offer a comprehensive education in communications and journalism, and often provide internships. For those interested in science journalism, working as a non-specialized reporter provides practice interviewing, putting a story in context, and writing under strict deadlines. 

Most professionals engaged in the prevention of accidents and incidents have college and university degrees. Some have associate degrees. Most have a Bachelor s degree and many have advanced degrees. The breadth of knowledge and skills required to work in the safety field drives the need for comprehensive education.

Based on experience Assoc. Dr. Jinrich Cernohorsky Ph.D., and his newly-formed team joined the accreditation of engineering person Biomedical Engineering. This course was successftilly accredited at the end of 2009. This completed the comprehensive university tertiary education in Biomedical Engineering at VSB - TU Ostrava. Currently, we are the only faculty in the Czech and Slovak Republics since the academic year 2010/2011 provides a comprehensive education, biomedical engineering in two European tertiary levels of higher education according to those standards. 

The implementation of many of the prevention guidelines outlined in this chapter should reduce morbidity and mortality rates associated with NP. Intervention strategies should be adjusted to each institution and integrated into a continuing comprehensive education program. Although data are limited, we believe these recommendations to be both cost effective and acceptable to patients and health care workers. 

On May 20, 1997, the Safety Board updated its Most Wanted list of safety improvements to include excavation damage prevention [15]. The Board s recommendations on this issue address requirements for excavation damage prevention programs comprehensive education and training for operators of buried facilities and the public and effective government monitoring and enforcement. 

Evaluation and assessment of engineering education is an important point closing the improvement loop of education process. The proposal [13] even covers a comprehensive education concept for embedded systems from the school up to university.
