Community respect

A responsible communicator respects listeners enough to prepare a presentation that is focused, organized, and concisely worded. More than that, such a speaker chooses information relevant to the interests and needs of a particular audience and, during the presentation, makes whatever adjustments the circumstances dictate. Audiences, then, will return the respect and feel as if they have participated in a lively and illuminating conversation. 

Voelkersen Rotliegend gas field show an unexpected variation in condensate and gas isotope composition. These variations correlate well with current field compartmentalization models but also suggest further compartment separation and communication, respectively. In addition to well tests, geochemistry is particularly suitable for study of this type of deep gas field since it can supplement conventional field characterization approaches at comparatively minor additional expense.

The qualities our team most admires about their coworkers include caring, kindness, enthusiasm, a positive attitude, patience, humor, flexibility, tolerance, compassion, and good communication. Respect for the patient is manifest in many ways—for example, asking the patients permission to enter the room, deliver care, or change position. These small but important issues enable patients who are medically very dependent to regain a sense of control over their environment. 

New lonomer Types. There is a continuing interest in new ionomers within the academic community, since novel and unexpected phenomena are frequently being discovered. However, there are still many unanswered questions with respect to the ethylene ionomers, especially the influence of ionic bonding on crystalline stmcture. Continued study of these interesting polymers will close the gaps in knowledge of this area of polymer science. 

However, optical fiber communications are not useful only for long-distance communication links. Fiber-optic data links are also used in a variety of short-distance systems, for example in computer—computer links and for internal communications on ships and aircraft. Figure 16 shows some possible appHcations for fiber-optic communications, with respect to length and bit rate. The common carrier appHcations, like telephone links. He to the upper right of the dashed line labeled 100 MHzkm. However, a wide variety of other lower performance appHcations, illustrated to the lower left of the dashed line, are in use or under development. 

Tanning of hides by any of the primitive methods was a dirty job withHttle assurance of success. The tanner was a speciaUst generating little respect in the community. In some parts of the world, this ancient prejudice against tanners exists even as of this writing (ca 1994). The tanner in primitive societies was limited to making leather using the hides or skins available locally. Tanning materials were also limited to those in local supply. Techniques were dependent on the climate as well as avadabihty of materials. The leather made was for local needs. 

The currendy (ca 1992) marketed injectable and implantable contraceptives are designed to be effective for maximum periods of three months and five years, respectively. There is Htde evidence from programmatic or health reasons that an injectable formulation with a longer effective life span, eg, six months, would not be equally effective. The acceptabiUty and effectiveness of long-acting contraceptives may be determined by the means by which a community deUvers contraceptive products to the pubHc the active life of a product may be determined by economic rather than programmatic or health related factors. 

A third study (85) enrolled 7825 hypertensive patients (55% males and 45% females) having diastoHc blood pressures (DBP) of 99—104 mm Hg (13—14 Pa) there were no placebo controls. Forty-six percent of the patients were assigned to SC antihypertensive dmg therapy, ie, step 1, chlorthaUdone step 2, reserpine [50-55-5] or methyldopa [555-30-6], and step 3, hydralazine [86-54-4]. Fifty-four percent of the patients were assigned to the usual care (UC) sources in the community. Significant reductions in DBP and in cardiovascular and noncardiovascular deaths were noted in both groups. In the SC group, deaths from ischemic heart disease increased 9%, and deaths from coronary heart disease (CHD) and acute myocardial infarctions were reduced 20 and 46%, respectively. 

The toller needs to be familiar with all raw materials, intermediate materials, products and wastes, used, produced or generated, respectively, while operating the process. Tollers in the U.S. should comply with the Federal OSHA Hazard Communication Standard, codified as 29 CFR. 1910.1200 and any similar state right-to-know laws that are currently in force or may be enacted during the term of the contract. This is often stated in the contract. The contract may require the toller to inform its employees of the chemical hazards associated with products or chemicals and may also be responsible for training its employees in the proper handling methods. The toller has an obligation when in doubt about a product or chemical, to seek further information from the product s manufacturer. 

Considering the merchant nature of the tolling business, these informal communications must still respect the confidentiality concerns and restrictions on both parties. While specific experience in allied technologies often may not be disclosed, it is incumbent on both parties to establish means to convey critical safety issues without disclosure of otherwise confidential information. 

Transposing the overhead communication lines, i.c. reversing the respective positions of the two sides of the lines every I km or so, to avoid continuous parallelism (due to electrostatic and electromagnetic inductions), as illustrated in Figure 23,8.. See also Section 28.8.4(3) on phase transposition. 

Siting, both location and layout, is critical for inherently safer plants. Evaluate siting with respect to the risk imposed by the process on the population, environment, adjacent facilities, and community. These evaluations apply to small revisions as well as major new processes. 

The new law is more specific than tlie original statute witli regard to remedies to be used at Superfund sites, public participation, and accomplislmicnt of cleanup activities. The most important part of SARA with respect to public participation is Title III. wliich addresses the important issues of community awareness and participation in the event of a chemical release. 

In a recent communication, the parent system 2 has been obtained in poor yields (16% and 10%, respectively) from the double cyclization of N-diphenyl-1,3-phenylenediamine either by using two equivalents of palladium acetate in refluxing acetic acid or by irradiation in methanol in the presence of a catalytic amount of iodine (00SC3651). All the available approaches sununarized so far were marred by harsh reactioi conditions or troublesome-to-prepare starting materials, leading to low overall yields of the desired products and difficulty in introducing sensitive substituents.
