Positive attitude

Most importantly of all, managers should fry fo fosfer fheir own positive attitude toward cultural diversity amongst other employees. 

Enthusiasm for the mentee involves having a very positive attitude towards him or her, and having the mentee s best interests at heart. Mentors should genuinely believe in the mentee s potential to improve his or her performance. They must also take the mentee s problems, desires and aspirations seriously. 

So we have an increasingly positive attitude inside the industry and greater policymaker support But what about the public ... 

Finally, we would like to thank the authors involved with these elements for their fortitude in approaching such a potentially enormous task with good humor and a positive attitude. 

First, the program needs a system (1) to record what needs to be done to have an outstanding safety program, (2) to do what needs to be done, and (3) to record that the required tasks are done. Second, the participants must have a positive attitude. This includes the willingness to do some of the thankless work that is required for success. When I first contacted Karen Forbes I was struck by her positive attitude. She suggested I also talk to Jean MacKenzie and Katy Young—whose stories are included in this volume—and told me they all were aiming for complete recovery from MCS. At that point I had never heard of anyone who was completely recovered from MCS, and I wasn t sure that it was possible. By the time I left Victoria I was convinced that anything is possible when the synergy of three dynamic women is in action. 

A study that was conducted in Canada consisted of a survey of passengers of a test hydrogen bus (Hickson et al., 2007). The results showed a wide-scale preference for hydrogen buses over conventional buses and a strong overall support for hydrogen as a motive fuel. The positive attitude was higher amongst males and more frequent bus users. 

Besides studies and surveys, which are available in limited numbers, general publications on factors that influence consumer decision can be considered as well. Most of the authors agree that customer satisfaction is the key factor for a positive attitude towards a new technology, and this can only be achieved if the services offered by this technology exceed the old ones. However, many agree that customer satisfaction is a very subjective matter and depends on a number of personal factors, such as personality, education and interests, so that universal selling arguments are hard to find. 

Anticipate adverse effects, and adjust therapy to prevent, minimize, or ameliorate side effects Continue to add effective and tolerated drugs, stepwise, in sufficient doses to achieve the goal of therapy Encourage a positive attitude about achieving therapeutic goals Consider using nurse management... 

Practice self-confidence. A positive attitude is a great way to combat test anxiety. This is no time to be humble or shy. Stand in front of the mirror and say to your reflection, I m prepared. I m full of self-confidence. I m going to ace this test. I know I can do it. Say it into a tape recorder and play it back once a day. If you hear it often enough, you will believe it. 

Before approaching them again, however, 1 felt that I needed to prepare myself. 1 needed to review my presentation abilities. It was essential that 1 portrayed a positive attitude if I was to instil enthusiasm and ownership. I realized that 1 did not always accept alternative views. 1 can become demoralized very easily if 1 cannot obtain the response 1 would like. Moreover, I knew I did not always present my case in a clear and precise manner which is easily understood.
