Maximum period

The currendy (ca 1992) marketed injectable and implantable contraceptives are designed to be effective for maximum periods of three months and five years, respectively. There is Htde evidence from programmatic or health reasons that an injectable formulation with a longer effective life span, eg, six months, would not be equally effective. The acceptabiUty and effectiveness of long-acting contraceptives may be determined by the means by which a community deUvers contraceptive products to the pubHc the active life of a product may be determined by economic rather than programmatic or health related factors.

The first filtration step should thus be carried out using a filter of at least F7 (EU7) quality, which should be changed after a maximum period of one year s continuous operation. The second filter of at least F7 (EU7) quality is not exposed to high RH, effectively stops microorganisms and particles, and can remain in place for about two years, provided the final pressure loss is not reached within this period. 

Other incidents that occurred because operators relied on automatic valves and did not back them up with hand valves are described in Sections 14.6 and 17.3 (b). In this incident the point to be emphasized in addition is that the operators were not clear on the difference between a stand-by and a shutdown. No maximum period for stand-by was defined. Interruptible contract. There is an obligation for the user to provide an alternative standby fuel to be used at the request of the gas supplier. The maximum period of interruption is one of the conditions agreed in the contract. The advantage to the user is that he or she can obtain a more favorable gas price. The advantage to the supplier is that at times of peak demand, such as a cold winter, he can balance supply and demand without investing in excessive storage capacity.

Eye ointments are prepared in a semi-sohd base (e.g. Simple Eye Ointment BP, which consists of yellow soft paraffin, eight parts hqnid paraffin, one part wool fat, one part). The base is filtered when molten to remove particles and sterilized at 160°C for 2 hours. The drug is incorporated prior to sterilization if heat stable, or added aseptically to the sterile base. Because the validation batches were produced under GMP conditions, it was not possible to recover the opened ampoules during the lyophilizer unloading. The ampoules were therefore collected only after sealing. As the trays of ampoules were sealed in twos, the ampoules selected for analysis arose from pairs of trays, and not from individual trays (see Figure 4B and C). The sealing of the ampoules of a pair of trays took about 2.6 min.
