Close-out meeting

A project team close-out meeting should be held to reflect on the team members interaction and identify areas for improvement in working with an extended project team. It also provides an opportunity to identify and discuss any areas of potential improvement in the project management process. [Pg.1349]

The appropriate management should be given the opportunity to comment on the draft report and findings and discuss these at a formal close out meeting if desired. [Pg.23]

Once the hazards analysis is finished, the team should present its findings to the Steering Committee. Also, it is useful to have a close-out meeting at which all parties will evaluate the work that was done in particular, they will discuss the extent to which the original goals were met. Questions that the team members can pose include the following ... [Pg.206]

Does the report fairly and accurately summarize what was said (This question applies only if the report has been written before the close-out meeting.)... [Pg.206]

One structure we discovered that came close to meeting our needs (99.3 percent fitness, 12 milligrams IVD) had been already discovered by the Lubrizol scientists through their intuitive guess-and-test approach. However, the hybrid model discovered two other better structures. The best of the three had completely novel chemistry and was a combination of molecules that had never been thought of. The hybrid model used out of the box thinking that opened up possibilities of new chemistry for generating leads in a much shorter time frame. [Pg.86]

With U.S. rights acquired from French interests, Du Pont started to manufacture viscose rayon yam in 1920 and cellophane in 1923, both at Buffalo, New York. Intensive internal research programs led to marked improvements in the process, permitting a long sequence of price reductions and construction of a number of plants across the country to meet the growing sales. Duco lacquer (1923) came directly out of Du Font s research efforts and revolutionized the finishes business. Not only did it provide a better, more durable automobile finish, but application time was reduced from days to hours. Du Pont introduced photographic films in 1924, industrial alcohol in 1925, and also acquired Viscoloid Co. (plastics) the same year to close out the first quarter of the century. [Pg.288]

Since the loose parts monitoring system meets the intent of guidance given in Regulatory Guide 1.133, Rev.l (Reference 2), this issue will, therefore, be closed out for the System 80+ Standard Design upon satisfactory completion of NRC review of CESSAR-DC Chapter 16. [Pg.276]

The complete system shall be validated by inspection and testing that the installed system meets aU the requirements, that adequate testing and records have been completed for each stage of the life cycle, and that any deviations have been adequately addressed and closed out. As part of this system validation the application software validation, if applicable, needs to be closed out. [Pg.152]

Close-out Procedure—When your Notebook is full or if you transfer to another department or your department is reorganized, submit the Notebook without delay to the Research Section Manager, Senior Research Associate, or anyone above in line of supervision for inspection and approval. If the Notebook meets with approval for final registration and storage, the supervisor should stamp, sign, and date on the last page used or on the last page of a full Notebook. The stamp should read ... [Pg.316]

The L-1 Mission Management Team meeting took place as scheduled at 11 00 A.M. (EST) on January 25. No technical issues appeared at this meeting or in the documentation and all Flight Readiness Review actions were reported closed out. [Pg.267]

A small (25-kg), portable apheresis system, available in 1993, is designed to meet a wide variety of blood cell separation needs. The role of the apheresis system is to control the behavior, separation, and collection of blood components from the bowl while maintaining maximum donor safety. The system controls the flow rates of blood and components through variable pump speeds. It directs the flow of components out of the bowl, by fully automatic opening and closing of valves based on the output of the system sensors. The system monitors the separation of blood components in the bowl by an optics system that aims at the shoulder of the bowl. A sensor on the effluent line monitors the flow of components out of the bowl. [Pg.523]

Judicious electrical design will ensure a pull-out torque slip as close to the full-load slip as possible and minimize the additional slip losses in such a condition. See Figure 1.8. A motor with a pull-out torque as close to full load slip as possible would also be able to meet a momentarily enhanced load torque during a contingency without any injurious heat or a stalling condition. [Pg.11]

Close control of the contract should be kept at all times. This is where formal site meetings, with reports of progress, can be most useful and can help to steer a late contract back on the right course. When a contract begins to fall behind the agreed program, it is important to find out why and to rectify the problem. It is in everyone s interest to see the plant commissioned on the agreed date, and a casual attitude by the project leader should never be taken. He should be strict with anyone who causes a contract to slip behind schedule. [Pg.95]

Both approaches are useful and they are also complementary because it is important to know where a chemical that may be best in its class falls out with respect to hazard. For example, a surfactant that is best in its class will be rapidly biodegradable, but most surfactants have some aquatic toxicity because they are surface active. However, surfactants as a class are typically close to the green end of the hazard spectrum because they tend to have low hazard ratings for most other endpoints. It is also possible to have chemicals that are best in their class but that are still problematic. For example, some dioxin congeners are less toxic than others but one would not presume that a dioxin congener that is best in its class is green . Concurrent use of the best in class approach with the absence of hazard approach is also important because it drives continual advancement within a class toward the ideal green chemistry. Once innovation occurs and a chemical or product is developed that meets the same or better performance criteria with lower hazard, what was once considered best in class shifts. [Pg.296]

The second boundary condition meets the requirement that there be no flow of matter out of the closed end of the pore. [Pg.440]
