During a forum convened by the World Wildlife Fund and the Conservation Foundation in May 1990, various steering committees recommended that a three-part life-cycle model be adopted. This model consists of the following ... [Pg.2165]

The Center for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS), a directorate of AIChE, was established in 1985 to develop and disseminate technical information for use in the prevention of major chemical accidents. The CCPS is supported by a diverse group of industrial sponsors in the chemical process industry and related industries who provide the necessary funding and professional guidance for its projects. The CCPS Technical Steering Committee and the technical subcommittees oversee individual projects selected by CCPS. Professional representatives of the sponsoring companies staff the subcommittees, with a member of the CCPS staff coordinating the activities of the sub-committee. [Pg.226]

The Center for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS) wishes to thank all the members of the Technical Management Su ommittee who provided guidance in the preparation of these materials. CCPS also wishes to express its appreciation to members of the Technical Steering Committee for their advice and support. [Pg.230]

The American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) wishes to thank the Center for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS) and those involved in its operation, including its many sponsors, whose funding made this project possible the members of its Technical Steering Committee who conceived of and supported this Guidelines project and the members of its Human Reliability Subcommittee for their dedicated efforts, technical contributions, and enthusiasm. [Pg.410]

The members of the CCPS Equipment Reliability Data Subcommittee wish to thank their employers for providing time to participate in this project those sponsors and members of the Technical Steering Committee who reviewed and critiqued this book prior to publication and those many companies in the chemical processing and allied industries that responded to the Subcommittee s survey of available process equipment reliability data. [Pg.284]

Harmonisation activities are overseen by a steering committee comprising representatives of each of the six parties, together with observers from the WHO, the European Eree Trade Association (EFTA) and Canada. The Committee meet at least twice each year, with the location rotating between the three regions. The committee also organises major international conferences on harmonisation that are held every 2 years. [Pg.37]

A five-step process is used to develop new guidance documents (see Figure 2.12). The process is initiated by presenting a concept paper to the Steering Committee. [Pg.38]

The final draft is then presented to the Steering Committee in step 4 for adoption as an ICH Harmonised Tripartite Guideline. [Pg.39]

The Steering Committee defines a priority item from a concept paper prepared by a member and appoints a working group if needed. A topic ieader is given a mandate to draft a recommendation. [Pg.40]

The draft is submitted to the Steering Committee for approval of its release for consulfation. [Pg.40]

Following adoption by the Steering Committee, the draft recommendation is circulated for consultation. [Pg.40]

Steering Committee members report back on the implementation progress in their regions. [Pg.40]

Who would you like to involve in the design and implementation phase, i.e. who would your steering committee consist of List all the different roles associated with the implementation of the scheme (see below), and make temporary suggestions as to who you would like to fill these emphasize that the scheme s sponsors should also form part of the steering committee. [Pg.213]

In the above checklist, we mentioned that you should explain the function of the steering committee or implementation team (as it is also sometimes called) to the audience you are proposing to. In addition, we suggested that you advise the scheme s sponsors, to whom you are proposing, on the roles typically associated with it, and that you encourage them to join the committee. [Pg.214]

Steering committee and implementation team - what is the difference ... [Pg.214]

Before we consider the roles that are typically associated with the steering committee or implementation team, we would like to draw a distinction between these two terms for future reference. Although steering committee and implementation team are usually applied to the same entity, we will break this tradition in this book for the purposes of clarity the steering committee will from here on be taken to mean the implementation team plus... [Pg.214]

If you did not already foimd your implementation team prior to designing the implementation proposal, you should certainly do it now. In the previous chapter, we agreed to use the term implementation team to refer to those people who are actively involved in implementing the scheme. In contrast to that, the steering committee is the implementation team plus the scheme s (financial) sponsors, who, although involved with the... [Pg.221]

The program co-ordinator will provide feedback to the steering committee. Apart from this general feedback, the relationship is... [Pg.249]

A satisfying balance between the needs and wishes of its stakeholders (i.e. mentors, mentees, line managers, the steering committee, and everyone else affected by the program). [Pg.252]
