Site meetings

Off-site groups. Off-site training provides a concentrated focus and eliminates distractions. In addition, off-site meetings can often help promote a sense of teamwork among participants.

There are generally two kinds of site meetings. One is where all parties are present and the other is where the professional team meets with the main contractor and then the main contractor organizes his own contractors meeting with his sub-contractors. Full site meetings may be held monthly or weekly, depending on the pace of the job. The main contractor or the project leader, who could be the architect or engineer, will chair a typical site meeting, and matters for the agenda will include ... 

Close control of the contract should be kept at all times. This is where formal site meetings, with reports of progress, can be most useful and can help to steer a late contract back on the right course. When a contract begins to fall behind the agreed program, it is important to find out why and to rectify the problem. It is in everyone s interest to see the plant commissioned on the agreed date, and a casual attitude by the project leader should never be taken. He should be strict with anyone who causes a contract to slip behind schedule. 

Ensure that site meetings are as short as possible and organized to assist the project, and that they serve the purpose for which they were intended (i.e. sort out problems and ensure satisfactory reports). 

The RCRA and SDWA groundwater quality standards are considered applicable, relevant and appropriate requirements for purposes of CERCLA cleanups. Thus, the EPA may require CERCLA sites to be cleaned up to the degree that groundwater quality around the site meets the RCRA and SDWA groundwater quality standards. 

The new European Directive (2001/20/EC) has reinforced the need for European agencies, as well as those of the United States and Japan, to conduct inspections of clinical trials. Sponsors, mindful of the implications of failed inspections, are carrying out audits by their QA units to try to ensure that standards at a particular site meet the regulatory requirements of GCP, and of any future regulatory inspection. Verify that all expansion joint materials brought to the site meet the specifications. Observe the installation and if there is any deviation from the manufacturer s instructions or the specifications, stop the work at once and remove all material that has been installed which does not meet the exact standards and specifications. 

The circumstances of the UK ETS were reviewed to establish that the sites meet the requirements of the Directive - that the sites be subject to equivalent emissions reduction requirements, that they face equivalent penalties for non-compliance and that they be subject to equivalent monitoring and reporting requirements. On large jobs, the foreman or supervisor is often required to keep a report of the relevant events which happen on the site - for example, how many people from your company are working on site each day, what goods were delivered, whether there were any breakages or accidents, and records of site meetings attended. Some firms have two separate documents a site diary to record daily events and a weekly report which is a summary of the week s events extracted from the site diary. The site diary remains on-site and the weekly report is sent to Head Office to keep managers informed of the work s progress. 

Again, it s your responsibihty to verify that your collection site meets these requirements. 

Being located at the Nevada Test Site has some unique advantages for the type of research performed at the HSC. Since most of the U.S. nuclear weapons tests were conducted at the NTS, the site meets many of the requirements for hazardous materials release studies. These are summarized below. 

Submission of documents for review and approval—The application and test results are submitted to an authorized reviewing authority that determines if the well site meets approval criteria. 

Structures, systems, and components of a nuclear cogeneration plant with the VBER-150 reactor installation are developed with consideration of natural and human-induced external impacts and provide for the possibility of plant location at any suitable site meeting the regulatory requirements. 

Independent of the mode of energy production, only certified sites meeting certain requirements can be used for this purpose.
