Each animal is evaluated for stereotypic behavior (isolated motor acts or partial sequences of more complex behavioural patterns from the repertoire of a species, occurring out of context and with an abnormally high frequency). These are graded on a scale of 0-5 (as per Sturgeon et al., 1979) if such signs are present.
