Track Types

The five various types of tracks in ACID. Notice that the One-Shot track has the same name as the Video track—it is the audio track from the video file.

Specific surface areas of various carbonized materials were measured by nitrogen gas adsorption with BET methods using an automated surface area analyzer (micro-track type 4200, Nikkiso, Japan). For mesopores whose diameter were less than SO nm, the surface areas and pore volumes were measured by carbon dioxide adsorption. The carbon dioxide adsorption at 298 K was measured with Bellsorp 28 (BEL Japan). The pore volume was determined using Dubinin-Radushkevich equation [4], and the surface area was determined by Medek s method [S]. 

In general, the Baltic cyclones are infrequent, transient low pressure systems without fronts, of meteorologically mesoscale dimension, with high central pressure and shallow vertical extension that appear as a position type and as a track type. 

The track type, the instationary Baltic cyclones, become completely developed only if in winter a large scale, pronounced inflow of cold air from the polar northeastern Europe is extending over the Baltic Sea, which is still ice free in general. 

Finally, a large 100-ton crane fitted with a clam shell bucket was leased, along with a small track-type front loader. Two used, standard 10 cubic yard concrete trucks were acquired to mix and transport the sludge. A backhoe and other miscellaneous equipment which have previously been used in other remediation activities supported the cleanup. Once all the site preparation activities were completed the site cleanup could begin.

Sideboom crane means a track-type or wheel-type tractor having a boom mounted on the side of the tractor, used for lifting, lowering or transporting a load suspended on the load hook. The boom or hook can be lifted or lowered in a vertical direction only.

Track pitch shifting information is also displayed in this area of the track. (See Chapter 9 for a discussion of loop and track types.)... 

The type of track into which an audio file is inserted can be changed in the Track Properties window. To view the Track Properties window, from the View menu, select Track Properties or press Alt + 6 on your keyboard. To see a specific track s properties, click that track the Track Properties window will immediately display that track s properties. The General tab in the Track Properties window has the Track type list, which displays and lets you change the type of track for that media file. 

The properties of a loop as it occurs in ACID are modified through the Track Properties window. To view a loop s properties once it has been inserted into a project (track), irom the View menu, select Track Properties. Click on a track to change the focus of the program to that track and view its properties in the Ttack Properties window. While a track s properties are initially determined by the information saved with the media file, the track properties are still independent and can be changed. The track properties always supercede the loop s properties. The specific properties that are available depend on the track type, as previously discussed. MIDI and video files can also be inserted into tracks, but not into audio tracks. MIDI and video tracks are dealt with in their own chapters. 

The General tab in the Track Properties window serves a number of basic purposes It sets the Track type, displays the loop s properties, and allows you to add media file level markers and regions (see Figure 9.5). 

Insert it into a project and change the Track type to Beatmapped on the General tab in the Track Properties window. 

The General tab looks and functions much like the General tab in all of the other track types. 

The Track type and other information about the MIDI file cannot be changed. 

The audio track is just like any other audio track in ACID, and the Track Type can be changed in the Track Properties window to Loop or Beatmapped. Since it is likely that you will want the audio component of the video file to remain in sync with the video, the Track Type should probably not be changed. If the tempo of the project changes, the duration of Beatmapped and Looped events also changes, but One-Shot events do not. The video track is unaffected by tempo changes as well. 

If the audio track of the video file falls out of sync with the video, due to trimming or movement of the video event, right-click the audio event and, from the context menu, select Synchronize with Video. This works only for the audio from the video file. If the file has remained a One-Shot (as it probably should), this will move the file back into sync. If the audio Track Type has been changed to Beatmapped, and the project tempo has changed, the audio file will be moved back in sync and the tempo will be changed to one tbat allows the audio to be exactly synced with the video for its duration, which is the original tempo of the project when the video event was inserted. 

The height and slope of the retaining bunds basically depend on the stability requirements, but generally inside and outside slopes of 3 over ly are realised. The crest width is about 4 m to allow track-type equipment to drive on top. The outside slope may need to be more gentle than the inside slope in case a high water level can be expected in the hydraulic fill reservoir.
