The warehouse space was used to store equipment and supplies to support the field activity. The warehouse would typically contain heavy-duty pallet racking, air-monitoring equipment, miscellaneous instrumentation, piping, pumps of various sizes, metallic fittings, tools, safety equipment, PPE, vehicle accessories and attachments, and lots of miscellaneous items. 

Miscellaneous Commercial Applications. Dimer acids are components of "downweU" corrosion inhibitors for oil-drilling equipment (see Petroleum Corrosion and corrosion inhibitors). This may account for 10% of current dimer acid use (71). The acids, alkyl esters, and polyoxyalkylene dimer esters are used commercially as components of metal-working lubricants (see Lubrication). Dimer esters have achieved some use in specialty lubricant appHcations such as gear oils and compressor lubricants. The dimer esters, compared to dibasic acid esters, polyol esters and poly(a-olefin)s, are higher in cost and of higher viscosity. The higher viscosity, however, is an advantage in some specialties, and the dimer esters are very stable thermally and can be made quite oxidatively stable by choice of proper additives. 

A popular overall factor refinement, known as the Hand factor approach, uses a different factor to estimate overall costs for each class of equipment to cover all labor field materials, eg, piping, insulation, electrical, foundations, stmctures, and finishes and indirect costs, but not contingencies. Hand factors range from 4 for fractionating towers down to 2.5 for miscellaneous equipment. 

Of the three categories, the packed column is by far the most commonly used for the absorption of gaseous pollutants. Miscellaneous gas-absorption equipment could include acid gas scrubbers that are commonly classified as either wet or diy. In wet scrubber systems, the absorption tower uses a hme-based sorbent liquor that reacts with the acid gases to form a wet/solid by-product. Diy scrubbers can be grouped into three catagories (1) spray diyers (2) circulating spray diyers and (3) dry injection. Indoor air contaminants can originate within the building or be drawn in from outdoors. If contaminant sources are not controlled, problems can arise, even if the HVAC system is properly designed and well-maintained. Sources can be from outside the building from operating equipment, from human activities, and other or miscellaneous sources.
