Antioxidants. A good antioxidant should be added to CR adhesives to avoid oxidative degradation and acid tendering of substrates. Derivatives of diphenyl amine (octylated diphenyl amine, styrenated diphenyl amine) provide good performance but staining is produced. To avoid staining, hindered phenols or bisphenols can be added. 2 phr antioxidant is sufficient in solvent-borne CR adhesives formulations. 

In this competitive environment, product design may well be carried out during the tendering phase and yet ISO/TS 16949 does not require all aspects of the tendering phase to be performed under controlled conditions. However, customers need confidence that the supplier s tender was produced under controlled conditions. That is, there is more to the words in the tender than mere promises - the facts have been checked and validated any proposed solution to the requirements will if implemented actually satisfy all the accepted requirements. 

Contract review is but one of the tasks in the contract acquisition process. These are marketing, prospect acquisition, tendering, contract negotiation, contract award, and then contract review. However, in a sales situation, you may simply have a catalog of products and services and a sales office taking orders over the telephone or over the counter. The contract review element of this operation takes a few seconds while you determine if you can supply the item requested. In an organization that produces products to specific customer requirements you may in fact carry out all the tasks in the contract acquisition process. Rather than isolate the contract review task and produce a procedure for this, your business may benefit more from a procedure or series of procedures that covers the contract acquisition process as a whole. 

It is important that you inform the subcontractor through the contract of how the product or service will be accepted. Will it be as a result of receipt inspection at the specified destination or as a result of acceptance tests witnessed on site by your authorized representative These details need to be specified at the tendering stage so that the subcontractor can make provision in the quotation to support any of your activities on site. If you have invoked ISO 9001 in the subcontract, you are protected by clause 4.6.4.2. If you have not, you need to specify a similar provision in your subcontract, otherwise you may lose the right to reject the product later. There is no requirement for you to document your proposal to verify product at the subcontractor s premises but such a plan would indeed be a useful section in any quality plan that you produced. Prepare procedures for producing and maintaining subcontract requirements and letting tenders. 

The drug may take several days to produce an effect (relief of pain and tenderness). If some or all of the symptoms are not relieved after 2 weeks of therapy, continue taking tiie drug, but notify tiie primary health care provider. 

Pectins are important sugar-based hydrocolloids used in the confectionery industry. In US the sugar confectionery industry is growing approximately 3% per year and the consmnption has increased to approximately 11 Ib. per capita [1]. Pectin s are widely used in jelly confections often produced using fruit flavors. Pectin gels are characterized by providing a very tender, short texture with excellent clarity and outstanding flavor release properties. 

Signs and Symptoms Initial onset may be either sudden or slow. Symptoms include fever, headache with pain behind the eyes, conjunctivitis, a vague feeling of bodily discomfort (malaise), severe joint pain (arthralgias), enlarged spleen, and pain in the bones of the shins, neck, and back. Shins are especially painful and tender. May produce a transient macular rash. Symptoms may continue to reappear years after the primary infection. 

Postthrombotic syndrome (a long-term complication of DVT caused by damage to venous valves) may produce chronic lower extremity swelling, pain, tenderness, skin discoloration, and ulceration. 

In 0.5% to 3.0% of patients with gonorrhea, the gonococci invade the bloodstream and produce disseminated disease. The usual clinical manifestations of disseminated gonococcal infection are tender necrotic skin lesions, tenosynovitis, and monoarticular arthritis. 

Skin Immediate stinging pain increasing in severity with time. Erythema (skin reddening) appears within 30 minutes after exposure accompanied by pain with itching and irritation for 24 hours. Blisters appear within 12 hours after exposure with more pain that diminishes after 2-3 days. Skin burns are much deeper than with HD. Tender skin, mucous membrane, and perspiration-covered skin are more sensitive to the effects of L. This, however, is counteracted by L s hydrolysis by moisture, producing less vesicant and higher vapor pressure product. 

Cake Donuts. The effects of 0-30% substitution of dry-roasted air-classified navy, pinto or black protein flour for wheat flour on the physical and sensory qualities of cake donuts were investigated. In general, fat absorption decreased as the level of substitution increased with the pinto bean variable having the lowest values. An increase of navy bean and pinto protein levels decreased donut height after the 10% level. The donuts with pinto bean protein exhibited less spread than the other bean type donut variables. Navy bean protein produced a more tender donut than the other bean types. The control donut and those with navy bean protein were the lightest in color, followed by pinto and black bean protein donuts,... 

The FSA undertakes surveillance exercises, the data for which are acquired from analytical determinations. The Agency will take measures to ensure that the analytical data produced by contractors are sufficient with respect to analytical quality, i.e. that the results obtained meet predetermined analytical quality requirements such as fitness-for-purpose, accuracy and reliability. Thus when inviting tenders FSA will ask potential contractors to provide information regarding the performance requirements of the methods to be used in the exercise, e.g. limit of detection, accuracy, precision etc., and the quality assurance measures used in their laboratories. When presenting tenders, laboratories should confirm how they comply with these specifications and give the principles of the methods to be used. These requirements extend both to the laboratory as a whole and to the specific analytical determinations being required in the surveillance exercise. The nutritional experiments with carotene and fish oils led to the conclusion that a second fat-soluble compound was essential for normal rat growth. Rickets, the condition caused by vitamin D deficiency, is a disease afflicting children where, because of impaired calcification, bone formation is disturbed and the bones become bowed and otherwise deformed. In adults, especially multiparous women, vitamin D deficiency produced osteomalacia—demineralization of bone, leading to tenderness over the bones, pain, and muscle weakness. Rickets was particularly prevalent in slum areas. Glasgow, Vienna, and Lahore were notorious for the high incidence of the disease. 

Symptoms Tender young growth is most prone to attack, but aphids will also colonize leaves, stems, and, in some cases, roots. Leaves and shoots become distorted. Heavy infestation can kill a plant. Leaves are often coated with honeydew, a sticky substance produced... 

In some cases, browsing does not appear to lead to induced defenses. Two species of northern European birch (B. pendula and B. pubescens) do not seem to respond to moose browsing with increased chemical defenses (Danell et ah, 1985). After experimental defoliation, the Emory oak of southwestern North America, Quercus emoryi, produces in its regrown leaves 2.5 times as much hydrolyzable tannins than in mature leaves, but lower amounts of condensed tannins. Refoliated branches suffered more, not less herbivory. New leaves have more protein, more water, and are tender. These properties may override any effects of induced chemical defenses, at least for the current growing season (Eaeth, 1992), but the induced compounds may still protect a plant later on, especially in winter.
