PHA is required for new systems that are designed and construction for the Department of Defense (MrL-STD-882A) it is useful for initial PSA of any system (Lambert, 1975). A PHA is a tabular listing of possible accident initiators, the parts of the plant that could be affected and possible effects of an accident. Because a PHA is performed before a PSA,... [Pg.232]

Data base A repository for equipment reliability information categorized to facilitate data retrieval or tabular lists of multiple data vectors, with little text except that needed to explain the data presentation format. [Pg.28]

The what-if analysis method may simply generate a list of questions and answers about the process. However, it usually results in a tabular listing of hazardous situations, their consequences, safety levels, and possible options for risk reduction. [Pg.42]

The concentration data obtained from each sample analysis were expressed as fractional parts and normalized to sum to 100. The normalized data were statistically analyzed, and three principal components (A=3, Equation [1]) were calculated. The PCB constituents (varlbles) are numbered sequentially and correspond to peak 1, peak 2,. .. to peak 105. The structure and retention index of each constituent in the mixture were reported by Schwartz et al. (9). The tabular listing of the data is availedile from the present authors. [Pg.7]

Below is a tabular list of pheromone components that have been synthesized since 2000. This list contains the organism and the structure of the individual compounds. Also included is the name of the compound as given in the original publication. An outline of each individual synthesis is beyond the scope of this review. [Pg.309]

A tabular listing of the Sn and Pb NMR data for the known Zintl complexes Sn4 , Sn/ , Pbg" ", and the mixed element analogs (i.e., Sng.xGox ) are given in Tables 1 and 2. Selected data for various counter cations (i.e., Na, K, etc.) are also given. Full listings can be found in [23, 28]. The spectra of the naked and Ei2 clusters have not been reported as they are only known in the gas phase or, in the case of Pbjo, only recently synthesized [29]. The transition metal derivatives of these clusters will be discussed in a later section. [Pg.64]

Nearly all mass spectrometers today are interfaced with a computer. Typically, the computer controls the operation of the instrument including any chromatography, collects and stores the data, and provides either graphical output (essentially a bar graph) or tabular lists of the spectra. [Pg.2]

Demographic and baseline features of individual patients and the comparability of treatment groups for these features are needed. If the patients in the intent-to-treat analysis and the clinically relevant analysis differ in number and identity, the comparability in both sets must be examined. In multicenter studies, comparability should be assessed both within and across centers. Tabular listings of individual patient demographic and baseline data should be provided. [Pg.307]

Piest (1968) developed and published a numerical sea state forecast method for shelf areas. Piest and SeUschopp (1971) used this method to calculate the height of the wind sea as a function of wind direction and speed for selected points in the Baltic Sea and to make a tabular listing of it. [Pg.145]

A tabular listing (ETA) of all biopharmaceutical studies conducted is recommended. Brief narrative descriptions (e.g., similar to an abstract for a journal article) are to share relevant features and outcomes of each study that provided important in vitro or in vivo data and information relevant to the BA and/or BE of a drug candidate. These narratives can be abstracted from clinical study reports (i.e., the synopsis of reports prepared according to ICE guideline E3) and should include reference to the full report. A comparison of results across studies, using both text and tables, is to pay particular attention to differences in in vitro dissolution, BA, and comparative BA results. This comparison is to consider... [Pg.399]

A tabular listing (ETA) of all clinical pharmacology studies is recommended and is to be accompanied by brief narrative descriptions, with appropriate reference to the full reports, of the relevant features and outcomes for each of the critical individual studies. The summary information on individual clinical pharmacology studies is to be followed by a comparison and analyses of results across studies. Using, as appropriate, tables (ETA), figures, and text, the comparison is to provide a factual presentation of all data pertinent to... [Pg.401]

A tabular listing of all clinical studies that provided (or were designed to provide) data relevant to the efficacy of a drug candidate is recommended and is to be accompanied with brief narrative descriptions, with references to the full clinical study reports, of important clinical trials. These narratives can be abstracted from the synopses of reports prepared according to the ICH E3 guideline. [Pg.402]

DOCUMENTING THE RESULTS. The what-if analysis produces a tabular listing of narrative-style questions and answers that constitute potential accident scenarios their qualitative consequences and possible risk-reduction methods. Table 4.7 shows the format of a what-if analysis worksheet. Although some what-if analyses are documented in a narrative-style format, a table makes the documentation more organized and easier to use. [Pg.34]

The tabular listing of solid phases incorporates knowledge of the phases which is necessary or helpfid for understanding the text and diagrams. Throughout a system report a unique phase name and abbreviation is allocated to each phase. [Pg.12]

An example of a metabolic profile from the MS/MS analysis of a confirmed infant with PKU and MCAD deficiency is shown in Figure 13.14. Comparison of these profiles can be made with the normal profiles shown in Figure 13.12. The profiles shown in Figure 13.14 include only the abnormal NL 102 full-scan function for PKU and the Pre 85 full-scan function for MCAD deficiency. These profiles are part of a visual qualitative inspection of results which is often called metabolic profiling. What is not seen in the printout is a list of quantitative results. Which each analysis, most MS data processing system will provide a tabular listing of each metabolite, its concentration, and whether it is above or below a particular threshold as shown in Figure 13.13. Often, these results are included in a printout with the abnormal mass spectrum so that both quantitative and qualitative inspection can be made. In the case of the spectra... [Pg.291]
