To set up and operationalize DTCs, an estimated time of 2-2.5 months would be required by PROs once they are selected. To import the recycling system, erect the commission in India, the estimated time would be around 4—5 months. It is preferred that if DTCs are imported in first instance and made operational as in initial months, there would not be any feed stock available for the recycling unit. Once their operation is stabilized, one can import recycling unit and commission it. These facilities would be required to obtain necessary consent to establish and operate and also to obtain authorization from respective SPCBs in the state where they are commissioned. 

The SSP plant for repelletized PET is similar to a virgin SSP plant. It is usually smaller, because of smaller feed stock availability, and should provide the flexibility to adapt to changing product requirements. Another difference results from the IV increase rate of recycled PET, which tends to be lower. This is attributed to a lower activity of the transesterification catalyst in recycled PET. 

Bottom line, valuation in biotech companies is analogous to bidding on eBay if there are more buyers for a deal than stock available, premoney value rises if there is a shortage of buyers, premoney value falls. The key to doing a strong deal is to orchestrate a shortage of stock and an excess of buyers. 

For purposes of plant design and for optimum operation consistent with feed stock availability, it is necessary to be able to predict accurately the octanes of the alkylate produced under varying operating conditions. Such a correlation developed from several hundred pilot plant and commercial plant tests is presented in Figures 7, 8, and 9. This correlation is applicable to sulfuric acid alkylation of isobutane with the indicated olefins, and was developed specifically for the impeller-type reaction system, although it also appears to be satisfactory for use with some other types of reactors. 

In Western Europe it is expected that new isomerization capacity may exceed alkylation installations since naphtha availability generally exceeds demand. By selecting isomerization over alkylation the octane number of the gasoline pool may be increased without increasing the volume. Moreover, olefinic charge stock avails for alkylation are considerably smaller in Europe since there are fewer catalytic cracking units per refinery than in the United States and Canada. It is predicted that C5, and to a lesser extent C5/C6 isomerization, will prevail over alkylation in Western Europe until more catalytic cracking units are installed and/or a shift in the demand for naphtha over fuel oil is experienced.

A Sales Order Processing System that contains all relevant customer and inventory details to enable a sales order of the correct characteristics to be placed against the actual stock available to fully or partially satisfy the order. The characteristics of the contract between the company and each customer may differ greatly for example, some customers may only be licensed to receive a very limited subset of the total inventory held within the system, while others may be licensed to receive everything but a few specified inventory items available from the supply chain. In both cases, the system would be expected to contain functionality that allows each type of circumstance to be correctly set up to ensure that sales orders for onward wholesale suppliers are only raised for inventory that the supplier is licensed to hold.

Intervening to make stock available for repo in circumstances where a false market has resulted in specific issues being unavailable for borrowing or purchase. 

In certain circumstances a specific issue will go tight in the repo market, meaning that it is difficult to borrow the stock for delivery into short sales. This is typically reflected in the stock going special in the repo market. On rare occasions the stock may become undeliverable, leading to failed transactions and also failure to deliver into the equivalent gilt futures contract. When this happens the DMO may make the stock available for borrowing, out of official portfolios, or issue a small amount of the stock into the market. 

Consider the in-stock availability offered to the customer (with a nearly zero lead time) by the retailer if the retailer and manufacturer were to carry inventory. It is clear that the retailer s choice of inventory would reflect retailer margins and costs associated with excess inventory. Such a choice of customer service level may not reflect what is best for the overall supply chain, something that is discussed in the chapter on coordination. Thus, a focus on availability will encourage the manufacturer and retailer to establish coordination agreements that can increase the delivered service level to the customer. 

Moreover the cost of repair and replacement for single components should be considered as evolving over time and as dependent on the existing spare parts in stock, available providers, technological advances, etc. 

Transaction elements are those that directly result in the delivery of the product to the customer. Setting stock levels, selecting transportation and delivery modes, and establishing order-processing procedures are examples. These elements, in turn, affect delivery times, accuracy of order filling, condition of goods on receipt and stock availability.

Selecting a silent chain drive consists of choosing a chain and sprockets that best satisfy the specified requirements. In most cases, this is a multistep process, the first step of which is obtaining a chain and sprockets that fit in the available space and that will work at the required loads and speeds. Often, more than one combination of chain and sprocket sizes will work in a given situation, so it is good practice to consider two or three alternatives. A final selection is made from the alternatives by considering other important factors such as cost, stock availability, and desired life. 

The first point to emphasise is that customer service is perceptual. Whatever our own hard internal measures of service might say our service performance is, perceptions are the reality. We might use measures which, whilst providing useful measures of productivity, do not actually reflect the things the customer values. For example, whilst stock availability is a widespread internal measure of performance, a more appropriate external measure from the customer s viewpoint could be on-time delivery . Hence it is critical that we develop a set of service criteria that are meaningful to customers.
