Amoco TORLONEngineering Resins, Data Sheet Grade 4203E, Code Numbei AT-5, Chicago, Bl., Eeb. 1982. [Pg.279]

Amoco TOREON Engineering Resins, Data Sheet Grade 7130, Code Number AT-14, Chicago, 111., Feb. 1982. [Pg.279]

Clear extrusion sheet grades are designed for extrusion and thermoforming applications, and like other NatureWorks PLA polymers, use conventional processing techniques and equipment. Potential uses include dairy containers, food service ware, transparent food containers, blister packs, and cold drink cups. [Pg.21]

An unaccelerated, rapid curing translucent orthophthaiic resin containing wax, designed for the continuous manufacture of corrugated and plain roofing sheets. Grade L, which is suitable for hand-lay and spray/projection lamination, has a lower viscosity than S, and both can be supplied accelerated. Some colourants can be added to grade S. c. 3-4 e. 18-22/30... [Pg.224]

Comments [B C] = blown cast [+ext] = grade also extruded [+inj] = grade also injection moulded. Data provided for injection moulding, blow moulding, rotational moulding, inc. pipes and sheet grades. ... [Pg.153]

Styrene-ethylene-bntylene-styrene (SEES) based thermoplastic elastomer (Kraibnrg Thermolast K TG7MGZ) was nsed in injection molding tests. Snbstrates wo-e 99.5% pnre aluminnm sheets (grade 1050A) with thickness of O.Snun. The shape and the dimensions of the used test piece are shown in Figure 1. [Pg.2570]

When processed and used according to manufacturer s recommendations, acetal resins present no extraordinary health risks. Before the use of any plastic material, including acetal, the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) appHcable to the grade in question should be consulted. [Pg.60]

With sheet or pipe, multilayer coextmsion can be used. SoHd outer-soHd core coextmsion can place an ABS grade on the outside that has special attributes such as color, dullness, chemical resistance, static dissipation, or fire-retardancy over a core ABS that is less expensive or even regtind. [Pg.206]

Calendering. The rheological characteristics of the sheet extmsioa grades of ABS easily adapt them to caleaderiag to produce film from 0.12... [Pg.206]

Cold Forming. Some ABS grades have ductihty and toughness such that sheet can be cold formed from blanks 0.13—6.4 mm thick using standard metal-working techniques. Up to 45% diameter reduction is possible on the first draw subsequent redraws can yield 35%. Either aqueous or nonaqueous lubrication is required. More details are available in Reference 147. [Pg.207]

Nonwoven Fabric. Crimped PVA staple is being used for the manufacture of dry-laid nonwoven. Also, as an example utilising the uniqueness of the fiber, a soft sheet is prepared by shrinking and pardy dissolving in hot water a nonwoven from water-soluble PVA fiber and then insoliibili ing the fabric by acetalization or similar processes. This sheet is used as car wipers, wipers for high grade furniture, and for similar purposes. [Pg.342]

Available as both film and sheet unless otherwise noted. All materials are available in PDA grades except for CTA, PVP, and PL EX = extrusion CL = calendering REG = regeneration CAST = casting BO = biaxial orientation. [Pg.375]

Process Design and Machinery. Following the field work of geologists and mining engineers and analyses (assays) to estabhsh the grades (concentrations) of values in ores, a mineral concentration flow sheet is estabhshed on the basis of a number of preliminary tests. These include studies of... [Pg.41]

Testing and Standards. Requirements for extmsion and mol ding grades are cited in ASTM specifications (79) and in Federal specification LP-389A of May 1964 (80). For fabricated shapes, FEP film and sheet are covered by Aeronautical Material Specifications (AMS) 3647 and LP-523 (81). Besides the specifications covered by the Fluorocarbons Division of the Society of the Plastics Industry, Inc. (82), other specifications are Hsted in Reference 83. [Pg.362]

PCTFE plastic is available in products that conform to ASTM 1430-89 Type 1 (Grades 1 and 2) and is suitable for processing into parts that meet MIL-P 46036 (Federal Specification LP-385C was canceled 1988). Standards for fabricated forms are available for compression molded heavy sections (AMS-3645 Class C), thin-walled tubing, rod, sheet, and molded shapes (AMS-3650). PCTFE plastics have been approved for use in contact with food by the FDA (55). [Pg.394]

Properties. Limited data are available for the types or grades of commercial agar which is usually in the form of chopped shreds, sheets, flakes, granules, or powder. The official specifications for agar are provided in the USP (12) and the Food Chemicals Codex (13). [Pg.431]

Table 8 summarizes specifications for anhydrous grades of hydrazine. Propellant grades meet all requirements of the most recent Mditary Specification MIL-P-26536 D. Mditary specifications coveting the other propellant hydrazines ate MMH (Md-P-27404B, May 22, 1979) UDMH (Md-P-25604D, Amendment 1, Apt. 10,1978, Supplemental Data Sheet, Jan. 24, 1984) Aetozine-50 (Md-P-27402B, May 27,1969) H-70 (Md-P-87930, USAF, Oct. 25, 1977). [Pg.286]

Grade XP is primarily intended for hot punching. With good punching practice and depending on the complexity of the part design, sheets up to and including 1.6 mm (0.062 in.) may be punched at room temperature. [Pg.536]

Grade ES-2 is similar in apphcation to Grade ES-1 but made with a white subcore and black core (usually a phenohc binder) to obtain toughness when made in thick sheets. [Pg.536]

Composite-Based Laminates. Grade CEM-1 are laminates with continuous-filament glass cloth surfaces and a cellulose core, all with a flame-resistant epoxy resin binder. With good punching practice, sheets up to and including 2.4 mm (0.094 in.) in thickness may be punched at temperatures not less than 23°C (73°F). These laminates meet UL94 V-0 when tested in accordance with UL94. [Pg.537]

AppHcatioas of dibasic lead phthalate, coated grade, iaclude 90 and 105°C rated PVC electrical iasulation, plastisols, profile extmsions, calendered sheet, and molded products. The recommended range of usage ia viayl electrical iasulatioa is 5—7 parts pet huadred resia, depending oa the particular iasulatioa classiftcatioa to be met. Ia geaeral-purpose extmded and molded PVC stocks, approximately 3—6 phr of coated dibasic lead phthalate is suggested. [Pg.72]
