The fastest to develop will apparently be labelling systems that will certify the entire product life cycle as well as take account of the social and ecological aspects of production, and those that ensure high integrity of labels across the product life cycle, for instance through transactional or scope certificates. 

The assessor should establish what percentages of key tollers do have an ISO 9000 series quality assurance system or other. Check whether the purchasing function has copies of certification including scope of certification. 

To receive ISO 9000 accreditation, a certification body must meet the requirements of ISO Guide 62 and EN 45012, which invokes ISO 10011. There is normally a mark of accreditation (a Grown and Tick in the case of UKAS accreditation) that certification bodies use to signify their credibility. Once accredited, a certification body may perform audits on suppliers offering products and services within the scope of accreditation. In theory, accreditation is granted only if the certification body has expertise (i.e. competent auditors) for the particular industry sectors (EAG codes) requested. 

The scope of certification shall include all products supplied to customers subscribing to the certification of ISO/TS 16949. If an external calibration laboratory is used it is important to review the scope of its certification with regard to any instruments that may be excluded. 

The Administrative Measure on the Control of Pollution Caused by Electronic Information Products (China-RoHS) entered into force in March 2007.85 The legislation is applicable to import, manufacture, and sale of products in China. Products for export are specifically excluded. Many product types that are not within the scope of the EU RoHS are within the scope of the China RoHS and vice versa. In addition, the initial disclosure, declaration, and exemption requirements for a RoHS certificate in China are different from the EU RoHS. Reliable stability data of the p-i-n solar cell itself are not easily obtained, especially for non-encapsulated cells or modules. One of these tests e.g. for EN/IEC 61646 certification of modules is the so-called damp-heat test (85°C, 85% humidity, up to lOOOh). Recent studies were performed by Stiebig et al. [50, 51] exposing different types of cells to harsh conditions. One of the most important results was the excellent stability of silicon thin film solar cells. Remarkably, this is also valid for small area modules even without encapsulation [52].
