Recommendations implementation concepts

This issue has been addressed by a number of groups, including the ANS Scaborg Panel. Their conclusion has been that States should be called on to meet specified minimum standards of physical security, and that their performance in doing so should be monitored by an international authority, preferably the IAEA. The text summarises the activities and outcome of the Organic HACCP project (www.organichaccp.org) that was completed in 2005, how a database of critical control points (CCPs) was developed for some representative supply chains and how this was used to define a set of recommendations that were then developed into leaflets with advice to producers, processors, retailers or consumers, respectively. Recommendations on approaches to using assumed limits on risk or dose to establish quantitative boundaries of waste classes expressed as limits on concentrations of hazardous substances would be presented, and precedents that could be used to define the assumed limits on risk or dose and to assess risk or dose for purposes of waste classification would be discussed. This Section presents NCRP s recommendations on a framework for a comprehensive and risk-based hazardous waste classification system. A key concept of the lEC 61508 as mentioned before is the implementation of a safety lifecycle that includes hardware and software development life cycles for the safety functions. The AOP 52 recommends the usage of a lifecycle during development of hardware and software.
