Possibilities of Application

Effective metal ion adsorbent has been prepai ed by the immobilization of propylthioethyleamine ligand onto the surface of silica gel (SN-SiO,).The effectiveness of this material to bind metal ions has been attributed to the complexation chemistry between the ligand and the metal. We are investigating properties of propylthioethyleamine grafted on the surface of silica and possibility of application of the obtained surface for preconcentration of heavy metals such as zinc, lead, cadmium, copper, etc. from water solutions. 

The aim of the work is investigate possibilities of application of Cartridges Packed DIAPAK for concentrating antibiotics Cefazoline and Levomycetine and analyze them by Reversed Phase High Performance Liquid Chromatography (RP HPLC). 

Thus, possibility of application of Cartridges Packed DIAPAK for concentrating different antibiotics and analyzing them by RP HPLC was shown. Maximum sorbated quantity of Cefazoline is 1.2 tg on 1 g sorbent.

The trend is undoubtedly in favor of the development of an "allpurpose method, but the means by which this can be achieved are still debatable. Some authors believe that the direction to follow involves the development of an NDDO method. When compared with STD experiments, the general sensitivity and the possibility of application as a high-throughput screening approach for the two methods are similar. Amorphous aluminosilicates represent a wide variety of systems with surfaces whose states are strongly dependent on the biography of a system. This makes quantum-chemical treatment considerably more qualitative in this case. Cluster models of active sites appear here mainly a priori and experimentally independent and provide, to some extent, an additional way of studying such systems.
