Plungers

The convenience of the offered monitoring system consists in an opportunity fast adjustment in conditions of many nomenclature manufacture, reception of the protocol of the testing results, opportunity of use of the unskilled personnel. By an offered principle installations for the testing of welding by explosion of cases of plunger pumps, details of air engineering and other were developed.

In use, the cylinder C is fitted over the base B, and the powdered compound is placed in C in small quantities at a time, and pressed firmly down (by hand) with the plunger P. When sufficient material has been placed in C, the whole unit is fitted into the frame F as shown, and the screw-plunger S scre-vt ed down... 

It is of great advantage, however, to have available a second cylinder similar to, but much shorter than, C, and of wider internal bore. When the pellet has been formed inside C, the plunger S is released and the shorter cylinder inserted between C and the base B. The plunger S is again screwed down, and the pellet is thus slowly forced out of C into the shorter cylinder below. In this way the pellet, even if originally firmly fixed in C, can be removed without risk of fracture... 

Solid-phase microextractions also have been developed. In one approach, a fused silica fiber is placed inside a syringe needle. The fiber, which is coated with a thin organic film, such as poly(dimethyl siloxane), is lowered into the sample by depressing a plunger and exposed to the sample for a predetermined time. The fiber is then withdrawn into the needle and transferred to a gas chromatograph for analysis. 

An electrode in which successive drops of Hg form at the end of a capillary tube as the result of a mechanical plunger, with each drop providing a fresh electrode surface. 

Injection Molding. Any standard design plunger or reciprocating screw injection machine can be used for PEA 340, although a reciprocating screw machine is preferred (32). Slow injection into mold cavities avoids surface or internal melt fracture, and control of ram speed is important at low... 

Press and blow operations are used to produce wide mouth and some narrow neck containers, including beer botties. The difference between the press and blow operation and the blow and blow operation is that the parison is pressed iato shape by a plunger that fills the complete void ia the parison.
