Phosphation xanthation

The influence of pulp potential on floatability of jamesonite is shown in Fig. 4.12 for an initial concentration of 1 x 10 mol/L ethyl xanthate (EX), dithiocarbamate (DDTC) and ammonium dialkyl dithio-phosphate (ADDP). If the upper and lower... [Pg.76]

Promoters or collectors provide the substances to be separated with a water-repellent air-avid coating that will adhere to air bubbles. Typical collectors for flotation of metallic sulfides and native metals are dithiophosphates and xanthates. Fatty acids and their soaps, petroleum sulfonates, and sulfonated fatty acids are widely used as collectors in flotation of fluorspar, iron ore, phosphate rock, and others. Fuel oil and kerosene are used as collectors for coal, graphite, sulfur, and molybdenite. Cationic collectors such as fatty amines and amine salts are widely used for separation of quartz, potash, and silicate minerals. [Pg.105]

In many cases, tellurium has been extracted with non-polar solvents from strongly acidic solutions (HCl, HBr) in the presence of TBP or TOPO [14], DAM [15], or quaternary ammonium salts [16,17]. Tellurium can be separated by extraction of its complexes with DDTC (pH 8.5, CCI4) [18,19], or xanthate (12 M HCl, CHCI3) [3], Te(IV) has been extracted from the HCl or HBr media by means of tris(2-ethylhexyl) phosphate [20]. The Tele complex has been extracted (CHCI3) with hexadecylpyridine [21],... [Pg.412]

Condensation of 2-amino-3-bromo-l,6-naphthyridines 81 with potassium O-ethyl xanthate in A-methylpyrrolidone afforded thiazolo[4,5-6][l,6]naphthyridine-2(3//)-thiones 303 whose subsequent methylation and hydrolysis in the presence of sodium methoxide afforded thiazolonaphthyridones 304 inhibiting adenosine-3, 5 -cyclo-phosphate phosphodiesterase (cAMP PDE III) (1995JMC2546). [Pg.240]

A separate group of metal starchates comprises metal salts of starches carrying carboxyl, xanthate, sulfate, phosphate, and similar groups. Oxidized, carboxyalkylated, sulfated, xanthated, and phosphorylated starches readily form corresponding salts by methatetical reactions between the sodium salts of the aforementioned derivatives and other water-soluble, metal salts. There are several patents on the formation of these salts for ion exchangers and the removal of... [Pg.211]
