In the United States (and increasingly in Europe and elsewhere), with the rise in outsourcing, it is now possible for manufacturing industries to obtain electricity via transportable, trailer-mounted, packaged turbine generators. Here the steam is supplied from outsourced mobile boilers, which in turn receive FW from mobile water treatment plants. 

Distribution locations are included in the company-internal value chain network, if distribution volumes and values are under the control and in the books of the company independent if the warehousing and transportation is outsourced to 3PL distribution companies or not. Therefore, a company value chain network is enclosed with a central control of all volume and value information for the respective network and clear interfaces to customers and suppliers out of the network. While the internal value chain network is focused on material flows evaluated with respective internal costs, dedicated interfaces to multiple suppliers and multiple customers are characterized by material flows, financial flows and mutual instead of one-directional exchange of information as proposed for supply chains by several authors. 

A part of the solvents transported into the water by the necessary -final cleaning of the hooks, the waste water is fed into the internal water cleaning system. Outsourcing the de-lacquering process is not feasible as the daily number of hooks for de-lacquering is up to 8,000 pieces. When outsourcing a multiple amount of hooks would be necessary and the transport effort would increase considerably as well. 

It is common practice in the United States for distributors to outsource warehousing and transport functions. Although this is a totally acceptable practice, it is important that the excipient distributor perform periodic inspections of the warehouse facility and be in continual communication with warehouse staff. Warehouses storing excipients destined for pharmaceutical products must be kept clean, dry, orderly, pest free, and secure. 

Moreover, warehousing and transportation operations are being outsourced more and more, as well as an increasing number of bundled services including administration, quality assurance, finance, legal affairs, and IT. 

In the paper we are going to deal with a highly reliable electronic item and in case of our paper that is an electronic item which is manufactured for specific application in systems. The manufacturer is an outsourcing partner of this item for a systems producer. Regarding the item production, the manufacturer has had long term experience. The introduced item has been applied in the systems environment many times item and no major problems have been detected regarding its function. This item is in case of our application implemented in a system in order to control one of the step functions of the system. We can name neither the item nor the system but we can mention that the apphcation is of transport area.

Bombardier Transportation, in pursuing outsourced maintenance contracts from rail operators, uses the same logistics model to ensure that they meet tight response requirements. It needs this model to assure its customers a fast turnaround time. 

In a study done by Accenture and Northeastern University (Mulani, 2005), it was found that Business Process Offshoring (BPO) doubled from 40% to 80% of companies surveyed during 1994-2004. As a percent of the budget, BPO increased from less than 20% in 1999 to 40% in 2004, nearly 15% annual growth. The same study also found that transportation and related services were the most supply chain management functions to be outsourced. Another growth area was the outsourcing of procurement function. 

The remaining industries - Aerospace, Healthcare, IT Solutions, Retail Distribution, Retail Financial Services, Telecommunications and Transport Equipment - can be characterised as experiencing Medium Sourcing Risk. This may be somewhat arbitrary but it is clear that the Project/Manufacturing sectors (Aerospace and Transport Equipment) do not have the same levels of regular and routinised process requirements of some industries, nor are they normally as heavily outsourced as the more process-based manufacturing companies, and they may not be as heavily locked into suppliers and have, therefore, have lower switching costs on a project by project basis. Outsourcing is typical for Finnish workplaces in process industry. Maintenance, cleaning, security and transport are the most typically outsourced actions, and often a supplying company is responsible. It has been reported that about two-thirds of Finnish manufacturing companies (with at least ten employees) had transferred some of their operations to service providers in the early 2000s (Ali-Yrkko 2007).

Government and University Research. Often, the research and development of structural composites such as advanced FRPs is associated with the aerospace and transportation industries. National governments are deeply involved in this area because of their obligation to maintain effective military services and to provide other publicly funded services. Similarly, major manufacturers in the aerospace, marine, and transportation industries are involved in the active research and development of new materials and applications, both for their own purposes and in their status as outsourced or contracted suppliers for government agencies.
