Poster organization

This poster indicates the structures of the compounds involved in a reaction, the enzymes catalyzing a reaction, the coenzymes and regulators involved, and whether such a reaction is a general pathway occurring in all species, or a pathway specific to higher plants, animals, or unicellular organisms. [Pg.559]

Inquiries with respect to health and safety at the workplace should be directed to the local area office of the HSE or the local authority s Environmental Health Department. The name of the authority responsible for the health and safety in the organization should be displayed prominently within the premises on the poster Health and Safety Law, What You Should Know. This poster gives a brief guide to health and safety law and specific details on key points must be obtained from the relevant legislative documents. [Pg.1060]

P.R.88 is also used for printing inks. Its red-violet shade is especially used for printing inks which are to be targeted for packaging, posters, and other special purposes. The prints are entirely fast to organic solvents, plasticizers, and packaged goods, such as butter and soap. P.R.88 prints are fast to alkali and acid, heat stable up to 200°C, and fast to sterilization. [Pg.500]

P.R.168 is found to a lesser extent in printing inks and plastics. The printing ink industry utilizes P.R.168 to produce special-purpose printing inks, which may be applied to substrates such as posters or metal deco prints. The pigment demonstrates equally excellent fastness in these materials. 1/1 SD systems equal step 8 on the Blue Scale for lightfastness, while 1/3 to 1/25 SD formulations match step 7. The prints are resistant to common organic solvents and chemicals. The pigment is thermally stable up to 220°C for 10 minutes, and its prints may safely be sterilized. [Pg.526]

The present volume contains the lectures given during this ASI and covers almost all theoretical and practical aspects of advanced transmission electron microscopy techniques and crystallographic methods that are relevant for determining structures of organic and inorganic materials. Moreover a number of extended abstracts on the presented posters during this ASI have been added to this volume. [Pg.2]

This chapter focuses on writing a conference abstract, not to be confused with a journal article abstract, which was addressed in chapter 7. A conference abstract is submitted in response to a Call for Abstracts issued by conference organizers, typically 3-6 months before the conference takes place. The abstract is reviewed and, if accepted, allows the authors to present a contributed paper (as either an oral or poster presentation) at a conference session. Only accepted papers may be presented at a conference whether they are oral or poster presentations is a decision usually made by conference organizers. By the end of this chapter, you will be able to do the following ... [Pg.273]

With the increased level of research and interest in the field, an additional international meeting held between the two European meetings seemed desirable. With this in mind, a mposium was organized as part of the International Chemical Congress of Pacific Basin Societies. The mposium included oral presentations and a poster session, with a total of 50 contributions. The contributions came from nine countries 11 fi om the United States, 20 firom Japan, 3 from Australia, 1 firom the United Kingdom, 2 from Italy, 4 from the Federal Republic of Germany, 5 from the Netherlands, 3 from Sweden, and 1 from Czechoslovakia. [Pg.1]

Richardson also devised many novel reagents and chromogenic substances that are now used in various diagnostic kits of value for the rapid and accurate visual detection of human disease, as well as for the identification of pathogenic organisms associated with disease. For chemical posterity, it is therefore considered important to present a detailed account of Richardson s numerous research contributions. [Pg.4]

The symposium program included 30 talks and 23 poster presentations. Due to space limitations, this volume contains 24 of the oral papers, whereas the authors, affiliations, and titles of the poster presentations are listed in the appendix. Sixteen of the oral papers at the symposium were invited by the Organizing Committee, with the remaining 37 papers being selected from those submitted for presentation. The 30 speakers at the symposium included five persons from industry and 12 speakers from outside North America. The symposium speakers attracted 170 participants from the United States, Canada, England, France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Hungary, Venezuela, Australia, and Japan. [Pg.7]

I extend my sincere thanks to those who handled the many details associated with the symposium. Sharon Hunt handled preregistrations and mailed information to the conferees.
