Operational excellence innovation

In the balance sheet trends against peer groups, Dell and Apple both built a competitive advantage through process innovation. Today, supply chain excellence is no longer about operational excellence and costs instead, when done right, it defines new business models and drives new forms of value.

Another innovative flotation-filtration wastewater treatment system using FeS (Figures 6.7 and 6.8) is highly recommended if a totally new system is to be designed and installed for treatment of nickel-chromium plating wastewater. This system is extremely compact, easy to operate, and cost-effective. Treatment efficiency is also excellent. 

The main objective of FP6 is to contribute to the creation of a true "European Research Area" (ERA). ERA is a vision for the future of research in Europe, an internal market for science and technology. It fosters scientific excellence, competitiveness and innovation through the promotion of better co-operation and coordination between relevant actors at all levels.

This paper has been prepared in the framework of the IT4Innovations Centre of Excellence project, reg. no. CZ. 1.05/1.1.00/02.0070 supported by Operational Programme Research and Development for Innovations funded by Structural Funds of the European Union and the Government of Czech Republic. 

These measures are expected to be more realistic by introducing some innovative technologies such as Mod.9Cr-lMo steel with high strength at high temperatures, advanced elevated temperature structural design standards, two-dimensional seismic isolation, and a re-criticality free core as well as by taking the desirable characteristics of sodium coolant such as operability in a low-pressure system and excellent heat transfer characteristics into account.
