Is an oil in water emulsifier for petroleum oils, fats, waxes and alkyl esters. It is an excellent lubricant for metals, textiles, and leather, and is used as an emulsifier/ lubricant in soluble oils for metal processing and finishing. EMSORB 6903 also serves as a lubricant and highly efficient emulsifier for oils used in textile processing and finishing, glass fiber lubricants, and automotive lubricant additives. HLB 11.1... 

A waxy semi-solid, functions as an O/W emulsifier for mineral oil, fats, and waxes. It is a good fiber-to-metal textile lubricant and is used as a co-emulsifier with EMSORB 2505 in paraffin wax emulsions for textiles, paper and wallboard coatings. It is also used as an emulsifier in household products.

Today, almost all international museums and galleries possess collections which contain plastics. Plastics may be identified within building materials, defence equipment, ethnography, furniture, housewares, information technology, medical and sports equipment, modem art, photography and toys. Many combine metals, textiles and wood with plastics in their construction. In addition to the objects themselves, many of the materials used to store, transport and display them are also plastics. While museums continue their policy to collect objects that reflect both everyday life and historical events, the proportion of plastics in museums will increase.

Corrosive materials are those chemicals which, on contact, damage living tissue (skin, eyes, mucous membranes, plant life) and inorganic materials (metals, textiles, ceramics, glass, etc.). They include acids and bases. 

Metallized textiles are studied as a means to improve radar screens, making them more sensitive to small objects. The ability to be seen by radar is greatly increased by sheet-like materials containing thin layers of metallized fibers. Bayer has developed an acrylic filament yarn of 238 dtex, which gives radar reflectance of as much as 90%. The fiber is coated with a 0.02-2.5 pm layer of nickel by a currentless wet-chemical disposition process [684,685]. Other metallized fibers have been developed based on palladium [686]. 

An important element in thermoplastics recycling is melt filtration to separate out unmelted or unmeltable shares in the polymer. These particles are held back by metal textiles or perforated plates and flushed out of the poymer melt with a partial current. The loss of polymer melt mass amounts to about 3-5 % plus the mass of the separated particles.
