Maximize button

Note The restore button shown above changes depending on the size of the window. The graphic SI is the restore button and means restore the window to its last dimensions, which were not full screen. The graphic El is the maximize button and means expand a window to occupy the entire screen.

Start the 1D WIN-NMR program and set-up the four MDI/application windows display as shown in Fig. 4.3 by clicking the MDI system menu button. Activate the four windows one after the other and inspect the corresponding button panels and menu bars. Iconize two of the windows and rearrange the other two so that each fills half of the display. To do this use the title bar and/or the window frames or use the Tile option in the Window pull-down menu. Check the functionality of the minimize/maximize button and of the options offered in one of the system menus. Iconize the 1D WIN-NMR program by clicking the corresponding button in the 1D WIN-NMR title bar.

To change the size of a workbook or worksheet, click and drag any of its borders or comers the mouse pointer changes shape when you click on a border or comer. You can adjust the document to any size you desire. If you click on the Minimize button (the "underline" symbol in the upper right comer of the document) the document will be minimized so that only the title bar is visible. To restore it to its full size, click the Maximize button (the open square in the upper right comer of the title bar). 

These elements are not all found on every window, as programmers can choose to eliminate or modify them. Still, in most cases these will be constant, with the rest of the window filled in with menus, toolbars, a workspace or other application-specific elements. For instance, Microsoft Word, the program with which this book was written, adds an additional control box and minimize and maximize buttons for each document. It also has a menu bar, a number of optional toolbars, scroll bars at the right and bottom of the window, and a status bar at the very bottom. Application windows can become very cluttered. 

Click on the Maximize button under Vina Search Space and then click on the Forward button. This starts AutoDock Vina and docks each ligand, one by one, to neuraminidase (2BAT). It takes less than 20 min to complete this virtual screening on a PC mentioned in Subheading 2.1 (fcc Note 4) (Fig. I). 

As the next step, suitable sample conditions have to be found which maximize the protein s solubility and stability in order to prepare samples that are stable for several weeks, allowing the spectroscopist to collect all necessary spectra without having to prepare a new sample after each experiment. In particular, if aggregation has been detected, solution conditions have to be screened to produce a monodispersed protein solution. The most elegant way to screen many different solution conditions with a minimum amount of protein is the use of either the microdialysis button [9] or the microdrop screen [10, 11]. In these screens, small amounts (1-5 pL) of concentrated protein solutions are...

Whenever ID WIN-NMR or 2D WIN-NMR start, the appropriate application window appears on screen (see Figs. 2.5 and 2.6). This window may be minimized, maximized and resized using the standard MS-WINDOWS techniques. Access to the MS-WINDOWS system task menu is by clicking the button positioned to the left of the title bar. This menu may be used to switch to other running programs or to close one of the WIN-NMR sessions. Refer to the MS-WINDOWS manual for a detailed explanation of the individual window elements and for specific window manipulation techniques. As an example the ID WIN-NMR application window is shown. It consists of several menus, buttons and subwindows (Fig. 4.2). 

When ID WIN-NMR or 2D WIN-NMR is first started, the appropriate maximized application or main display window ID WINNMR [Spectrum] and 2D WIN-NMR respectively appears on screen. Whereas 2D WIN-NMR has only one application window, ID WIN-NMR has three additional application windows. These four application windows (Spectrum, Preview, Relaxation and Text) may be displayed altogether (Multi Document Interface, MDI) on the screen by clicking the MDI window button, or may be displayed pairwise according to your needs by clicking one of the pairs offered in the Window pull-down menu. The active application window is indicated by the highlighted title bar (Fig. 4.3). 

Besides the Start button and the System Tray, the middle area of the Taskbar is also used by Windows. Whenever you open a new window or program, it gets a button on the Taskbar with an icon that represents the window or program. To bring that window or program to the front (or to maximize it if it was minimized), click its button on the Taskbar. As the middle area of the Taskbar fills up with buttons, the buttons become smaller in order to display all of them. 

Restored A restored window is one that can be used interactively and is identical in function to a maximized window, with the simple difference that it does not necessarily take up the entire screen. Restored windows can be very small, or they can take up almost as much space as maximized windows. Generally, how large the restored window becomes is the user s choice. Restored windows display a restore box (the middle button in the upper-right corner) with a single rectangle in it this is used to maximize the window. Restored windows have a border. Figure 12.19 shows an example of Notepad in a restored state. 

Too high concentrations (activities) are indicated by an error report or by a maximal value. The samples must then be diluted further and the analysis repeated. Pressing the DIL button causes automatic multiplication in the instrument, but the prescribed dilution must always be employed by the user. Samples of very low concentration (activity) will also cause an error report. These samples must then be measured by a different method. 

To maximize their high-rate performance and compensate for the lower conductivity of the organic electrolytes, designs are used for these lithium cells to increase electrode area, such as a larger-diameter coin cell instead of button cells, multiple parallel electrodes, or the spirally wound jelly-roll construction for the cylindrical cells. 

Measure Curve The interface of Measure Curve wascom-posed of the measure diagram and value with real-time display and two buttons. Pause and Stop. The coordinate units of curve were output voltage (mV) and time (sec), and the measuring value can show 16 channels maximal. The operation interface of the Measure Cureve was shown in Fig. 4.
