Restore button

Note The restore button shown above changes depending on the size of the window. The graphic SI is the restore button and means restore the window to its last dimensions, which were not full screen. The graphic El is the maximize button and means expand a window to occupy the entire screen. 

Edit characters in a text box in the usual way. Once a change has been made in a field, the Restore button is enabled you can use it to restore the original data if you spot an error in the new text. To edit a single field in all records, tab forward to that field or click the mouse pointer in it then use the up or down arrow keys to move to the same field in other records. 

A program window is a rectangular area created on the screen when an application is opened within Windows. This window can have a number of different forms, but most windows include at least a few basic elements. Figure 12.17 shows the Control box. Title bar. Minimize button. Restore button, Close button, and resizable border in a text editor called Notepad (NOTEPAD. EXE) that has all of the basic window elements and little else ... 

Minimize and Restore buttons Used to change the state of the window on the Desktop. They will be discussed in the States of a Window section later in this chapter. 

When you are finished with your selections, click the Start Restore button to begin the restoration. During the restoration, MS Backup will ask you for several disks, in the same order it did when you performed the backup. Insert each disk when MS Backup asks for it. 

The modified auxiliary values are all saved and may be used for another correlation. To restore the initial values click on the Restore button (Fig. 3.14).

To change the size of a workbook or worksheet, click and drag any of its borders or comers the mouse pointer changes shape when you click on a border or comer. You can adjust the document to any size you desire. If you click on the Minimize button (the "underline" symbol in the upper right comer of the document) the document will be minimized so that only the title bar is visible. To restore it to its full size, click the Maximize button (the open square in the upper right comer of the title bar). 

The built-in Microsoft Excel toolbars can be restored to their "factory-installed" condition by using the Reset button in the Toolbars tab of the Toolbars dialog box (Figure 19-2). Individual toolbuttons can be restored by following the procedure described earlier. Custom toolbars cannot be reset. 

In the 128 mode, the 40/80 DISPLAY key selects which screen mode is used as the default. This key is checked at power-on, when RUN/STOP-RESTORE is pressed, or when the RESET button (found next to the power switch) is pressed. This key has no meaning in 64 mode since 80 columns are not available, again for the sake of compatibility. In either 128 or CP/M mode, the same VIC chip used on the 64 displays 40 columns, graphics, and sprites. The 40-column screen can be seen only on a television or composite monitor, not on the RGB display. 

Restored A restored window is one that can be used interactively and is identical in function to a maximized window, with the simple difference that it does not necessarily take up the entire screen. Restored windows can be very small, or they can take up almost as much space as maximized windows. Generally, how large the restored window becomes is the user s choice. Restored windows display a restore box (the middle button in the upper-right corner) with a single rectangle in it this is used to maximize the window. Restored windows have a border. Figure 12.19 shows an example of Notepad in a restored state. 

From this point in the setup process on, the Setup screens will have a Back button and a Cancel button. You click the Back button to go back to the preceding screen, and click the Cancel button to completely exit the installation. If you exit the installation before it s completely finished, Setup will restore your system to its former state. 

You can protect sensitive backup data by entering a password for the backup set. Simpiy ciick the Password Protect button to enter a password. This password will be required during the restore process in order to restore the data. 

Click the default tracks button to restore the default track settings. 

Using the right mouse button on a file name opens the pop-up menu shown in Fig. 3.7, which allows you to manipulate the file. You can save the changes you have made so far, remove the file from the browser, rename it or restore the original data with the undo function. 

If only one cycle is to be executed, the controls are in the semiautomatic mode. If a practically unlimited number of cycles are to be executed, the eontrols are in the frdly-automatie mode. The machine operator must start the process by pressing a button. Usually the process will start only if all machine components are in their respective starting conditions. If this is not so, the controls issue an appropriate error message or automatically restore the components to their starting conditions. 

Select the physical quantity and the practical unit, click first on the Change Unit button and then on the Close button. To cancel all the unit conversions click on the Restore SI button.
